Very charming hostel in an old colonial style building. Rooms are spacious and very clean. There is also a common room and a nice garden. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. They arranged a fabulous backwater canoe tour with local food. Would book it again anytime.

The accommodation is 3 minutes from the calm beach, there are also some really good restaurants and cafes close to it so it's perfect place to chill. But most importantly, the hosts are very welcoming and the loveliest, and the breakfast was some of the best food I've had so far!

10/10 recommend! This is such a beautiful homestay. Susan made us feel at home and cooked the best food for us. She helped us with organizing tours and taxi drives. She even made us sandwiches for our drive to Kochi. A very warm-hearted and funny persond. Also, the rooms are very clean, with AC and good wifi - everything just perfect!! :)

After staying at Kalappura homestay and talking to the owner Jose, I booked his houseboat trip too. His offer was a good deal for a solo traveler. The boat trip was very nice. The captain and the cook were friendly and helpful. I felt like a king on the boat. What I liked the most was that Jose made sure I also saw the local side of Alleppey. We took local buses (I wouldn't do that myself) to a local market to buy food for the boat trip.

The Sneehatheeram homestay is a great property to stay. The hosts are amazing and very attentive while the location is great, near the backwaters and the city. They helped us with finding a boat to take us to the backwaters and both the captain and the experience was amazing. We had breakfast included which was beyond our expectations and we loved it, but most importantly the house and the room was clean and good smelling. The hygiene standards was excellent which was a big deal for us. If you want to do the backwaters and stay couple of nights to explore Alleppey, don't think twice, this Homestay is a great option.

A beautiful quiet place to rest. The room had alot of privacy and also the outside area with private pool was amazing, surrounded by plants, the local colibri and fruitbats above. Rinu was an excellent host: providing and arranging really nice breakfast, tuktuk when needed, and extra information about the surroundings and places to see. I had a comfortable and easy stay thanks to him.
