Lovely food, staff, baths, own private dining room, meticulous service and very clean area. I think it’s almost impossible to top in those regards. The room with its own hotspring was divine. The massage was excellent. Would recommend.

We loved everything about our stay. From before check-in until after check-out, everyone put in so much attention to detail. Incredible views, luxury and the meals were nothing short of amazing. Everything here was just amazing. When we first checked in, they made the mistake of assigning us to the room where other people were already in. But as soon as they realised they made the mistake, they quickly assigned us to another room and even offered us free drinks. The dinner was fantastic, and we were all very satisfied and full after dinner. There were three different onsens that I could enjoy during the stay. Both open-air onsens were beautiful and possibly one of the best onsens I've been to. The breakfast was also amazing!

Good location, sufficiently near to Kyoto and Lake Biwa. Two supermarkets within a short drive away. It is best to reach the place by your own car. The house is very well designed, decorated and maintained. Futaba-san is very accommodating and kind. He has extended his hospitality from the moment we booked the accommodation till the day we left, and always so courteous.

Guesthouse Kinari was exceptional and we are so thankful we had the opportunity to stay at this lovely space. It also serves as a center for the community children and also persons with disabilities to gather, and spaces like this are so important for the community as everyone is able to use the space. The room we stayed in was also really comfortable and spacious, with great beds and a big toilet that comes with a bathtub! The entire facility is yours and in the morning, people from the community also gather in the facility and we even got to enjoy the loveliest breakfast of onigiri and miso soup together. The owner also provided a personal guide of places to see in the neighbourhood that was really insightful. I cannot stress how grateful we are to have been able to stay here and we are so thankful to the people who continue to work so hard at Guesthouse Kinari so that everyone can feel right at home at this space. Thank you again!
