The Guest house has been the most beautiful and cleanest accommodation we have had in Sri Lanka. The mountain and small lake view from the balcony is breathtaking and so cozy . The delicious breakfast was served to us on the balcony and you can enjoy the view and nature during the meal. The location is also quite good, 5 min walking distance to maskeliya town and best stop before adam's peak hiking and visit waterfalls around. The host Namal was very friendly and organised a driver for us to the next stop. And dinner is very tasty and so good .Thank you so much for everything . We felt so comfortable in your place and would recommend it anytime.

Priyanga was very kind and helpful, he cooked us the best meals that offered some variety from what ate on our trip, gave us good tips and helped us organise our next activity. He even preprared some homemade medicine for a sore throat! We are really grateful to have had him as our host, we will always remember his hospitality. Greetings to you, Priyanga! The house‘s location is a 10/10, less than a 15 min drive from the Adam‘s Peak start and is surrounded by a great landscape, especially in comparison to Dalhousie (where the hike starts), so it‘s really worth the short ride.

At the time of booking, there was only one review of this homestay. So we took a leap of faith - that's how we roll... Wow! Were we rewarded! This is by far the best homestay, and Deva is a superhost! He goes above and beyond to make sure we have everything we could possibly want and need, while his lovely wife Mangu conjures up meals fit for the gods! The room is spacious, clean and comfortable (mosquito-net included). A large bay-window overlooks the tea plantations. At night, the subtle ramblings of an enthusiastic river will guide you into a deep coma, as it did for us. The quaint town is within walking distance and packed with friendly Tamil shopkeepers. We absolutely loved our stay! Everyone should experience their hospitality and homestay for sure. It has been the highlight of our journey so far. Thanks to Deva and his wife Mangu. :-)

We loved the hosts, Ishara and Yudantha. They were so friendly and helpful. They made our stay special. The food really tasty and they were always accomodating to our needs. The location was also excellent and had beautiful views of Adam’s peak.

Extraordinary place with fantastic owners and views. Big + for fantastic, local food. That was the only place we drank a good coffee and we ate fantastic dishes. Please, do something with the lake! It's beautiful! It's more interesting than Adam's Peak. Buy some kayaks!

Really lovely villa, very tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. One of the nicest we have stayed in along the trail. Super friendly and interesting host, who supplied us with lovely home cooked dinner and breakfast. Totally recommended for all.

Ishara and her husband were so lovely and organised my transport to and from Adam’s peak aswell as to my next destination making everything so easy! The food and location was great and they even upgraded my room which was super lovely! I highly recommend booking the room with the view of the lake!! I will definitely come back again !

Fantastic location with a million dollar view of the reservoir and Adam’s Peak beyond. Very attentive service by the staff — a husband and wife team (Ishara and Yugantha). Bought and cooked for us twice the freshest fish from the reservoir. The couple were always so obliging and ready to help. The best service received ever in all the places we have stayed in this Sri Lankan trip.

Great location to discover the waterfalls in the area and Adam's peak. From Hatton it's easy to reach by bus (every 30 minutes). Nice family run guesthouse with basic rooms, good food, great view, everything you need. Great value for little money.

The host (young guy) was very nice, made us feel comfortable & welcomed on arrival. The place itself is lovely with a balcony overlooking the hills & a spacious double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Everything was very clean. The host gave us an extra drying rack to hang out some wet clothes we had. The location is very good, we did a tour of the beautiful lake & waterfalls by tuk tuk which was incredible (the views!) We also had dinner here (kottu) which was very tasty & affordable price.

Namal has maintained a very good place to stay in this small town. What I really liked was his hospitality, friendliness and entrepreneurial spirit. The "Pittu" breakfast was the best breakfast I had in Sri Lanka. The flavors were amazing and every bite was just oozing freshness and taste. Absolutely loved it. Namal also helped me plan a hike and walk nearby. He gives very honest suggestions. I want to thank him and his family for having me over and making my stay really amazing. Highly recommend staying here if you visit Maskaliya.

the location is the best in the area: the most terrific view to the lake and Adam’s Peak. The room is comfortable and neat. The host is amazing - he does the best to make guests comfortable.

Great location to climb Adam’s Peak, beautiful views. David and Vajira were excellent hosts, super friendly and made us feel very welcome. They even gave us fruit and tea to bring on the early morning climb and made us breakfast on our return!

The place is clean and comfortable and in a great location. The owner was very friendly and helpful and arranged for us the best tuktuk driver we've seen during our stay in Sri Lanka to go around the lake and to Ella next day. Communication in advance was also great.
