Fantastic location with incredible views, exceptional friendly service, our suite was perfectly appointed and equipped, one of the best small hotel stays ever! From the soft music when entering the suite to manicured gardens- it was simply a pleasure! Mini bar prices are absolutely fair and the wlan was fast. The furniture design is well chosen and the light filled suite offers views to both sides. The Chef of the restaurant prepared an excellent lobster for us upon request (surcharge but worth it) and one can preorder a seafood platter- for future guests to know.

What a great experience we had at this place. Mr. GiGi and Sonia were amazing hosts and made us comfortable. They gave us every little thing we asked for without hesitating and also helped us with the what all places to go. What we loved the most was that it felt like our own house with so much space and the house was equipped with every little thing you need to survive the out the day. We were touring around the country and preferred warming/cooking inside the house which was extremely convenient for us.

Second stay at Chalets Chamarel, unbelievable location with the best views where the mountains le morne meets the sea- you also have view of some of the islands too ile aux benetiers (spelling?)- picture perfect location. Quiet stay, breakfast and dinner included. Room is spacious with comfortable bed and large bathroom. Breakfast and dinner superb. Wifi not the best in the location but not a big issue for us as we enjoyed some disconnected time.

Beautiful, modern, big chalets with the best beds we ever slept in in a hotel, great food, friendly staff, perfect location etc. I’m very picky with hotels and rarely give 10 star reviews, but this hotels deserves one. We will definitely come back.

Such a fabulous location so peaceful and full of bird song and wonderful staff who all appreciated the land, animals and birds. Comfortable rooms and great breakfast with local fruits etc. we are so sad to leave and hope to return to one of the new buildings which have a fabulous view across the valley.

Lakaz Chamarel is in a unique location, almost hidden in a beautiful valley on the edge of the Black River National Park. It is set in fabulous tropical gardens. We received a warm friendly welcome and all the staff were so kind and helpful. Food at the pretty restaurant and at the bar is very good and sunsets can be enjoyed at the Seaview Bar at the top of the hill, looking out to sea and mountains.

One of a million location, probably the best views on the whole island. You can just sit there and enjoy breathtaking panorama of mountains, forests, ocean, island and bays. Very kind and welcoming staff. Nice breakfasts and outstanding dinners, dinners are a must at this location. Worth to get there by quite challenging road - you need to be confident driver.

Exceptional location in lush, green part of the island. The staff were wonderful and we particularly loved the private use of the sauna, outdoor yoga & sunset view bar. Outdoor bath & shower in our room was a real treat too. I can see why people return here!

Beautiful house in a beautiful location, very nicely maintained garden. We celebrated NYE here with our nine month old daughter and we couldn't have chosen better place! What we appreciated most was the peace, privacy and comfort of a secluded house in the middle of the green. And the fireplace! We would love to come back here again.

Absolutely amazing place, 10/10. We truly enjoyed our stay, the staff was really lovely and the owner very welcoming. The attention to details is fantastic. There are only eight chalets, so very peaceful and private place. The view from the pool was incredible. Very good breakfast! The location is perfect if you’re planning to explore the South of Mauritius and do some hiking as well! Highly recommend!
