If I were to come to iceland to hike and tour as day trips with your own vehicle, then I would make inni my home base rather than from kef or raykavik. Plus the washing machine and separate dryer came in handy. But one washing machine was out of order, but there were no other people using it anyway. Kitchen was well stocked with spices so cooking was easy.
