The summer of 2023 was very hot. I used it as a lodging on the first day of my trip along the traversing route of Mt. Donden with my mother. This hotel is located near Ogi Port and is a renovated Japanese restaurant, with a luxurious exterior. The interior has been designed with a variety of features to make it feel like a comfortable hostel, with a large kitchen where anglers can also prepare their fish. Tableware and free seasonings are also available, so you can buy fresh ingredients and cook them to enjoy the feeling of being at a luxury inn. We bought local sashimi at a nearby supermarket. It was delicious enough. The next day, we enjoyed the night view and starry sky at Mt. Dongden, and the traversal route we walked the next day was amazing.thank you.

The staff was VERY helpful in arranging transportation during a fully booked weekend on Sado Island. Goint the extra mile to follow up and get us a spot on an already fully booked bus back from the festival. Nice breakfast buffet, offering a mix of western and Japanese foods. And a bit better than normal expectations for a businessman hotel. Bed was up off the floor for us old folks.

We (8 adults, 5 kids) spent two nights in that beautiful villa. It's so spacious and so huge, unbelievable! The view and the facilities both were top notch. During our stay, the weather was rainy but we did a indoor barbecue, which was really great! On top of that, the hosts were also amazing! If you don't mind the hosts living in the same house, you should definitely choose this house as your accommodation for Sado-island trip! There is also a small store nearby which makes it more convenient. If you want to enjoy a stunning view of sunrise, this house is very highly recommended.

This is an absolutely meticulously restored and very conscientiously decorated Japanese empty house - a traditional and older home that's been abandoned as Japan faces population decline. We were the first to stay here from what I understand, and it was clear from every nook and cranny of this place that so much love and attention to detail had been put into the revitalization. So the positives: 1. It is stunning. Every room has been outfitted with engaging art or very beautiful traditional Japanese pieces, if you want a feel for a traditional Japanese home with some modern artistic twists, this is for you. 2. Its spacious. Huge living spaces and multiple areas for relaxation. 3. Its quiet and natural: you are in a very quiet and out of the way rural neighborhood with large green space beautifully decorated out front, The owner has strung up bulbs around the properties perimeter for a magnificent but subtle effect in the evening. 4. Its well stoked - tons of kitchen and bathroom equipment is included. We were only here a few nights but it would be great for someone planning a longer stay and wanting to cook at home. 5. The owner is incredibly friendly and easy to contact, and has a ton of great local recommendations.

(Sad the shop of keramics closed when we stayed in the area, but I suppose that’s worth to pay a visit and look around) Owner also shared the sushi restaurants, useful information of viewing spots nearby (gold mountains, supermarkets and routes) Because we didn’t have a car to move around, he even offered to send us to the spots and took us back to the bus stations. Which was out of expectation and saved us a lot of time to enjoy the trip. 🛖 The house had kitchen and a cozy living room(shared space) with coffee ready to drink all the time. On the first floor there is a bathroom with 🛁. In the guest room there is a shower room and separated sink area. There is sofa & coffee table, aside with television in room, as a relaxing zone. Further more…🎶 There were recordings of great jazz played from recorder and projection for the movies. In the room they were connected to YAMAHA speakers 🔊. Amazing entertainment in room with good sound system. Everything we need and things out of expectation made the stay rememberable. Such a beautiful stay and we can feel a lot of love in the house. Thank the owner for his friendliness and amazing house. By talking with the owner and looking around in the house we got to know more about the location.
