The house was fully stocked with house supplies and also had alot of ambiance. The view from the room is absolutely breathtaking with fresh air. Also next to the cabin is a relaxation/ games lounge. There was pool table, jacuzzi, massage chair and massage bed, there is a steam room also coming up. I would definitely recommend this place 100% if you are looking for a getaway weekend plan far in an wilderness kind of setup.

From the view across the patio (Kilimanjaro on a clear day) to the nice mattress pillows and the throw on the bed; everything was perfect. So is the owner Jane who is awesome. From the moment I booked she helped me locate a guide/driver to facilitate my tour from Nairobi to the property for 2 nights. The park gate is close by and I spotted giraffes and gazelles even before entering the park. Jane was extremely kind to arrange a hot air balloon ride at my request at a discount which now seems to be the best adventure thing I’ve ever done in my life! The housekeeper Julius was a star. He enthusiastically cooked cleaned washed and even packed my meals with so much love and care always with a grand smile on his face. So was the security guy Samuel; a soft spoken Masai boy. Forgot to click his photo. I wish I stayed here for a week. It was heart wrenching to leave the place.

The Elewana Tortilis Camp was in a beautiful setting and the staff pulled out all of the stops to make our stay memorable. From the morning coffee/tea and cookies at wake-up to the breakfast in the bush and sundowner on top of a hill with staff Masai teaching us about their culture, the staff outdid themselves. The guide knew exactly how to track the elusive cats so that we were able to see a lioness and her 5 cubs and a cheetah and her 5 cubs. Not to mention the herds of elephants and many giraffes! What an amazing sight! Peris, Chris, Jimma, Ben, Graeme and Sandy, as well as all of the other staff whose names I have sadly forgotten, made for a fantastic safari experience!

I have never written something so positive before. But it wasn't just the accommodation, the whole family and David took amazing care of us in all other things. They arranged not only complete accommodation with full board, but also a Safari, lots of trips and other things that we couldn't do without them. Before we arrived, David communicated wonderfully, he answered everything quickly. He also arranged a taxi for us from Emali to Loitoktok directly to them. We felt like part of the family throughout our stay, at a leisurely pace. Love is born through food and here it is doubly true. How could we not love them when they cooked so well 🙂! They inspired me so much for my kitchen. We didn't lack for anything. Peter's amazing breakfasts were a great way to start the day. Dinners and lunches were lovely in that we had a lovely intellectual chat with them and learned a lot about Kenya and learned Swahili. Bottled water was available all the time. The rooms were clean, cozy and quiet. The bathroom was also adequate and right next to the rooms. I would like to thank the whole family very much for allowing my sixty-year-old mother to fulfill her lifelong dream and for taking such good care of us. I hope this is not the last time we've seen each other. We'll be happy to come back! Asante sana!
