A warm and welcoming host who was patient with my French and my partner’s lack there of. Small kitchenette was equipped for basic meal prep (breakfasts and microwaveable food) and a nice welcome drink. A great location if you have a car to head out on many hikes in the region. We really felt the rural and quiet setting was one of the highlights of staying in La Réunion! Although there were other tourists staying in the area, it really felt like an unassuming quiet local village and a great experience! It was cold at night and we didn’t find the space heater until the second night but there was a heater and extra blankets. The suggestions for meals were great - Chez Tania’s just up the road was one of our favourite meals on the island!
