We flew in from Melbourne enrout to South Africa. We had a 21 hour lay over, our flight landed at abu dabi 04h00, we hung around looking for accommodation until I was confirmed with booking.com, our connecting flight to SA was at 0200. We had to be at the airport 12am. I am extremely grateful that we were allowed to check in at 11am, had a well deserved shower and Reinlin gave us directions to the Golden Centre and a lovely restaurant across the mall where we had THE most delicious meal. Thank you to the front desk day and night shift as well for making sure our cab arrived just as we were checking out. Thank you to our very respectful concierge who helped move 12 suitcases. The staff was superb, from reception and the lady in the bar to the chef and the staff at breakfast. A big thank you to housekeeping who made a magnificent birthday setup for us in the villa very quickly while we were at breakfast. Room service came quickly and the gentleman who did our turn down service was also very helpful and looked after us. The villa was stunning with an upstairs dining area and glorious views over the sea. I would also definitely recommend doing the safari to see many unusual animals. We hope to visit again. My favourite places in Al Madinah were Masjid Quba and Masjid Al-Qiblatayn, both very peaceful and spiritually uplifting. I enjoyed a variety of foods during my stay, including pizza, burgers, wraps, and biryani. The options were delicious and convenient. It was quite easy to move around Al Madinah as I mainly used Uber taxis, which were comfortable and reliable. We came basically on the trail of Lawrence of Arabia, we were lucky to stay at Retaj Hotel close to the harbor and old quarter that we could easily walk to it as much as we wanted. However it was mid June during Eid ul Adha, shops and visitors attractions were closed, the city was quiet, and the heat and humidity kept us indoors most of our three day visit. Still it was fascinating to be in the city at this time, we didn't see much of Yanbu to make a judgement but we were grateful to make it, as it was our jump off point onwards to Umluj as well. The Yanbu Airport, by the way, was very impressive, and I love the long avenue of fire trees out to the highway. Neat and green landscaping made a great impression for us first time visitors. All in all a memorable visit to this part of Saudi Arabia, before we final exit as expats to start our retirement.Guest review byHilton - 10.0

A two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, a lounge and a fully equipped kitchen. The apartment is located in a nice new neighbourhood close to Al Rashid Mega Mall. The apartment had its own designated parking and was around 10 - 15 minutes drive to Masjid e Nabwi by car. The owner a was a polite gentlemen who took us through the apartment before handing over the keys to us. The apartment also had a massage chair and had everything that you may require including a stacked fridge, an iron and iron board, electric kettle, utensils, crockery and washing machine etc. A definite value for money for 4 - 5 people and highly recommended.Guest review byBilalasadSaudi Arabia - 8.0

I stayed 2nd time in this facility. Last time I gave overall rating 5. But this round my over all experience was good and I gave Rating 8 They improved a lot as compare to last time. Wonderful place to visit. More religious and quiet area. Airports are very smooth, and several car rental options are there. Try not to miss any turns while driving to avoid delay in travelling. The city is amazing, and modern. I thought that there would be more traffic, but my rides were smooth. I went in the summer it was kinda hot in the noon and the afternoon, but the weather at night hit in the right spot. There are services everywhere, and people there are open-minded.
