All staff members were extremely friendly, greeted me warmly and provided a lot of information on the possible activities. The room exceeded my expectations in size and comfort. The garden is very peaceful, and allows for moments of relax especially after long hikes. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with several choices available for all tastes. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this traditional location in Carinthia. The room was lovely, breakfast in the garden was delightful, and evenings on the terrace were truly relaxing. The food was excellent, and we especially enjoyed Lake Feld am See and the nearby private beach. It’s a perfect place to feel peaceful and safe. Amazing place in the mountains! We visited the hotel in summer and were very pleasantly surprised. The facilities of the hotel and the room itself were fantastic. Since we were traveling with a dog, we appreciated that they were well-equipped. If someone forgot a bowl, there were two available in the room, along with a small bed. However, the best and absolutely unique feature is their community area for walking dogs. It’s a large fenced area about 200 meters from the hotel, where you can let the dog off the leash and let it run around. There are also basic agility obstacles. Entry here is paid, but the hotel provides a free pass. The breakfast was excellent! A decent selection, and the eggs with bacon were absolutely genius. Everyone at the hotel was incredibly friendly, and there was no problem even with a late arrival. Right next to the hotel, there is a cable car that takes you up to Brunnach. We highly recommend it; the views are stunning, and the hikes along the ridges are fantastic. You even get a free ticket for the cable car at the hotel. Great place in beautiful nature!

Peter and his staff gave us a very warm welcome and were always available to help if necessary, he even took us to the supermarket on the first day and sorted our lift passes on the second. Apartment was extremely warm and comfortable, and had a balcony with a wonderful view of the mountain. The spa area and fitness room was spotlessly clean with plenty of towels. Both pools inside and out had swim jets perfect if you still had the energy after a day on the slopes. The gym had a good variety of machines. The bonus of a heated boot room on site was excellent. The accommodation was only a few minutes walk to the ski school, slopes and gondola. Restaurants and a few bars were nearby we never walked past Spar for the entire week. A free ski bus linking St Oswald was just along the road. Peter provided the children with bath robes and even responded to my daughter who asked him for some slippers for herself and brother. Peter came out to greet us when we arrived and when we checked out it felt like leaving family. Would love to return one day, maybe to see the area in the summer.

We highly recommend this 5 star hotel. Amazing facilities (3 swimming pools, saunas, massage), very good food (including complimentary afternoon cakes) and outstanding staff. We were really impressed by the way the owners are involving themselves in guests entertainment and enjoyment: singing Austrian songs, serving greeting cocktails and other details that make the difference.

The personel is trying real hard to please to guests. The hotel is very lovely, the spa with saunas and a pool is superb. The location right next to a ski lift and a ski slope is great, with just a few steps away. The food in hotel is great and a special free soup which you get in a mountain hut on the skiing area (as a hotel guest) is a great bonus.

Great skiing resort.

Great skiing resort. Many ski-lifts and pistes to explore and they are all well prepared. The pistes are not too difficult, most of them are of medium difficulty, but there are also some pistes suited for learning skiers. There is also a possibility to trek to the nearest peaks with or without the help of ski-lifts. The wellness is also great with an outside heated pool from where you can see the ski pistes. The area is well suited for families since it is peaceful and quiet.

Patergassen is vey small but Bad Kleinkirchheim just 7km away has everything you need plus cable cars and walking routes. The other way it is easy to reach the knockalm toll route which is stunning, and Turracherhohe cable car. The gem museum in Turracher is also worth a visit. Getting the Kärntnen card in the summer gives very good value for visitors.

We were at this location for 4 days in August.

We were at this location for 4 days in August. Nearby is Turracher Höhe, where you can go hiking or take the cable car – they also have a great trail for kids. If you want to visit Ossiacher See or some of the other nearby lakes, it takes about an hour by car, so for some people it might feel a bit far from those destinations. But for us, it was perfectly fine and we really enjoyed our stay here.

An excellent destination for winter and summer stays. It is equipped with cable cars and picturesque skiing and trekking routes. It is close to Bad Kleinkirchheim, which has an even wider range of summer and winter activities. It is a preferred spot for those who like to be close to the heart of the action, but with the possibility of calming down in silence.

Zirikitzen is just 10-15 minutes away from the lifts and...

Zirikitzen is just 10-15 minutes away from the lifts and thermal bath and is well-connected by local public transport and ski buses. It is calm with a nice view of the mountains, so if Bad Kleinkirchheim is your destination the place is perfect. To do shopping or visit a restaurant you have to walk to the village (a modest number of shops and Billa/Spar nearby), but it is pretty close. To eat while skiing the best place we have found is Brunnachhof close to Spitzekbahn (21) on the way from Spitzek or Brunnach (slopes 25,26,27) in St. Oswald. The bar next to Kaiserburgbahn is fine but does not accept credit cards which is weird, The skiing experience is great, but on warmer days the sunnyside slopes are harder due to melting snow and moguls. The only problem is that Kaiserburgbahn is the only lift (gondola) to start your skiing experience, so in the morning you have o stand in a long queue. In other places, it is less crowdy, but harder to park a car (unless you travel by ski bus). Thermal baths do not offer enough attractions but are not crowded, so it is a good place to have some rest.

The town is wonderful.

The town is wonderful. I can imagine it in a beautiful winter idyll, covered in snow and illuminated with lights. Autumn time - just as beautiful, but the fact is that after 10 o'clock everything closes. I would also like to see more cycling areas clearly marked - they lack this in snow-free times.

We visited (in summer) several unique locations: - Granatium (museum) in Radenthein - Millstatter See (nice place for biking) - Turracher Hohe (nice mountain pass with many lakes and summits) - Wollaner Nock (summit above Bad Kleinkirchheim)

Nice town, not too crowded in september.

Nice town, not too crowded in september. There is a great country bike trail, 15 km long. For all age and even for those with less experience on trails and for children. There are also other more dificult trails within 20-30 min car ride. An ofcorse a lot of beautifull mountains, a lot of them are above 2000m. They are covered in blueberries!
