Good location near the higway. Perfect if you are on your way to Italy from Budapest or Vienna and need a place to spend the night. Everything is brand new, huge flat screen tv, high quality beds even for my sour and achy back.

Our stay at Hotel Sud surpassed our expectations! Excellent value for money. The pool and the sauna were lovely and clean. The breakfast was ideal and set us off to a nice start. The bus to the centre of Graz leaves from the end of the lane that the hotel is on and takes 20-25mins to get in. I couldn't say enough about how much we were impressed by the hotel.

24-hour sauna, fitness, and pool include towels, slippers, and robes near. There were also apples and water. Everyone is so nice !! The staff does bring this to another level. Breakfast: You can order eggs in 5 styles, and they make you whatever coffee you want from the machine. And there is enough food for everyone - even if it runs out, they bring more. They set tables all the time, so don't worry, you can sit outside. :) The location is in the centre, so that is perfect. We walked, but there seemed to be public transport everywhere. Bathroom: There is shampoo, body wash, and a vanity set. Of course, towels. Bed: So comfortable!! Art: everywhere!! I'm amazed as an art lover and artist myself. Parking: in-house and safe.

The building was new, very well designed and clean. We also had the opportunity to one earlier and store our luggage’s for free. The host answered when we needed. This hotel room was the best value for money room I have ever stayed at. Very big room comfortable beds and great location. We also really appreciated the coffee coins! We suggest that 100%. There is also a vending machine inside the building for snacks and water.

The location is obviously perfect, right in the very heart of Graz and less than 5 minutes from the river. The hotel itself is just fabulous, immaculate throughout, combining past and present very tastefully. I was in a double room, which was large, warm and I was happy to see a kettle, teas and coffee. 4 of us really enjoyed the cocktail bar, not just because the cocktails were yummy (and potent!) but the room itself was so cool and the bar staff were friendly and helpful. This was my 4th work trip to Graz but my first time in this hotel. I will stay here in future and recommend it to colleagues.

This hotel has it all; location, facilities, service & ambience. From the moment I arrived the service was excellent and authentic. The parking solution is perfect, especially so close to the Central Park and Old Town. That location could not be better. You get all the advantages of proximity without the disadvantages usually associated with being in the old center. The hotel combines old world charm with a modern infrastructure. Everything works and then there’s an aesthetic touch that adds some indefinable je ne sais quoi that in combination with a strong team is the source of that ambience.

Graz itself can be visited in a day or two.

Graz itself can be visited in a day or two. The city has a charming old town that gives a feeling of the intersection between the Mediterranean and the mountains (the Alps), what Graz truly is. The city is not large, but has everything for a short stay amusement, including the mentioned old town, the hilltop fortress, several museums and theatres. Longer stays in Graz would best include sightseeing of the surroundings: near Graz there are many beautiful forests, mountain ranges and picturesque villages. I would suggest going by train from Graz to any other city, because from the train you can do sightseeing altogether with the feeling that you went back in time, as the railway and trains give 2000s vibes while being pretty efficient at the same time (note that train tickets can be a bit expensive, tbh).

Very nice place to stay close to Graz.

Very nice place to stay close to Graz. Only negative aspect was one impolite staff member. My question in English regarding hot water for oatmeal was met with scorn and I was directed to the container which stated 'tee'. She then mocked my query to her colleague. I don't speak German well but I understand it perfectly. Her comments were just rude. Perhaps label the container Hot Water? Pity this spoiled what was otherwise a pleasant overnight stay. I still gave 9/10.

An absolutely beautiful area near public transportation that can take you anywhere you want to go. The hotel restaurant was great for breakfast and lunch and was so convenient. You must take the train into the main square in Graz and enjoy bratwurst at one of the local food stands and take the lift in Schlossberg Hill. Breathtaking views and there's a slide to take you back down to the bottom if you dare.

Great little village with all the comforts one needs.

Great little village with all the comforts one needs. We had dinner in two different Gasthaus of the village and people were very welcoming and helpful! Portions are huge and very tasty!! Great place for local walks or for a day-hike. We also went for a stroll to the playground with our kids and relaxed by the lake. Everything around is very tidy and well kept .

It is a cute town.

It is a cute town. For those who have been to several big cities, Graz could be a bit too small. Food quality is amazing, definitely recommend to read some reviews before stepping in. Public transportation is okay. But Graz mobil app kept on crashing making winter traveling extra difficult.

I booked this place on our way from Croatia back to Germany, stayed only one night. We arrived very late, but check-in was very smooth. I communicated with the host and she waited us until we arrived 30-min after my estimated arrival. The hosts were very kind and nice. rooms are large for us a family of 4. We would love to visit this place at another chance and stay longer.

Beautiful historical city, definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful historical city, definitely worth a visit. Went to watch a football match, and was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the city was. Everything is centred around the river so it’s easy to walk around and see all of the sights.
