There were many thoughtful gestures from the owners which were greatly appreciated. The room was cosy and was equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. We stayed in the room a lot as most attractions on Bruny Island were closed after dinner, and it was truly a joy to stay in. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace as the nights were cold and wet during our stay.

The cottage was beautiful! The pictures don’t do the actual place justice. We had a great stay and did a little fire in the evening.

I would rate this house as the best ever stay in my past several years traveling in Australia. Far exceeded all my expectations! I am giving this place the highest rating possible, and here’s why: 1. Perfect Location: The cottage is nestled in an incredibly quiet area, and the best part is that the ocean is just steps away. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful, making every moment here feel like a dream. 2. Spotless and Modern Interiors: The rooms are immaculate, and the furnishings are brand new. Everything is so clean and well-maintained that it feels like you’re staying in a luxury home. The attention to detail is truly impressive. 3. Fully Equipped: Loma Cottage has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. From kitchen appliances to bathroom essentials, every item is available and in perfect condition. It’s rare to find a place so well-equipped, and it makes the stay so much more enjoyable. 4. Thoughtful Host: The host is incredibly attentive and considerate. They send all the necessary information and guidance well in advance, ensuring that your stay is hassle-free. Their clear instructions and timely messages make you feel well taken care of. Overall, Loma Cottage is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy a peaceful getaway. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful experience with family by the sea!

The view from the accommodation and the access to the waterfront was exceptional. Loved the outdoor shower. All the comforts were thoughts of, including a picnic blanket. The delivery of fresh sourdough for breakfast… the best! Thanks for a beautiful stay at your property.

Very cute little wooden cabin! Had all the necessities and the kitchenette worked well. The toilet had a heater too which we were thankful for. Cabin was bigger than expected! There was a parking lot right beside each cabin. They have a communal kitchen and some play scooters for kids (do drive slowly!). Very comfortable, would book this again if I return to port arthur.

Over the years I've noticed Bruny island is getting more popular and busier. I recommend getting on the car ferry at Kettering early as queues form after 9am. This also maximizes your time on the island if you only going for a couple of days. Try to time your visit to the popular sites such as the Truganini lookout when the day trip busses aren't there. Allow extra time when touring South Bruny as there are lots of stops to view and take photographs along the way. If eating out such as the Alonnah pub or Mari Bruny (cafe) book ahead as tour groups will fill them.

Hotel Bruny in Alonnah is a draw card, eat in or takeaway.

Hotel Bruny in Alonnah is a draw card, eat in or takeaway. Down the road in Lunawanna is the vineyard restaurant, great for lunch (dinner at weekends). Alonnah is at the top of south Bruny, an ideal base for exploring the whole island.

Lunawanna is a quiet place to stay away from the main (!)

Lunawanna is a quiet place to stay away from the main (!) tourist area - actually nowhere on Bruny is busy. :) There is a pleasant walk, either along or behind the beach and the Lunawanna cafe is a short walk. It's a great base for exploring the island as nowhere is too far a drive. We stocked up with food at Woollies in Kingston and bought bread almost daily from the famous bread fridge. It has the best, freshest sourdough ever. We enjoyed some beautiful bush and beach walks and a swim with a small shark. (The shark was an unexpected bonus).

Barnes Bay is located 12 minutes from the ferry in a beautiful rural setting on the ocean although not too far from all the fantastic attractions the island has to offer. It's certainly a great place to stay for a holiday. Loved our time there although it wasn't long enough.

It is a great place to visit with dramatic coastal scenery, forests and places of historic interest. We went to "Premium Wines", "Hotel Bruny", Bruny Lighthouse as well as interesting places in the north of the Island.

All the way at the northern tip of Bruney island.

All the way at the northern tip of Bruney island. Peaceful quiet place, away from the main crowds of Bruny. Need to drive 30-45 min out to the other parts of Bruny for food and supplies. Advisable to plan ahead and pack your own food and drink supplies from mainland before making your way to Dennes.

It was a quiet and secluded place.

It was a quiet and secluded place. We were there in late February, so outside of school holidays; I would guess that it would be busier in peak holiday season. We enjoyed the quiet and natural beauty. The general store had a much better range of food than I had expected; you didn’t have to live off tinned baked beans!

If staying on Bruny Island you will need a car to get around. Alonnah is quite central and has the Hotel Bruny for meals which were very nice. Everywhere on Bruny is picturesque. Other areas have nicer beaches. Adventure Bay had beautiful beaches for swimming, plus a shop and cafe/restaurant which an unusual menu from burgers to curries -,probably the best curry I’ve ever had.

Nice and peaceful. Spotlessly clean. Warm and comfy...wood fire was bliss. House had everything we needed. Dog loved mooching around the fully fenced garden and lying on the deck. Close drive to the pub for a lovely meal.
