Private room on the top floor, modern and clean, with a private bath and nice decor. Coffee machine and electric kettle provided in the room along with pods, teabags, and cream (always a plus when you're backpacking and cannot carry all you want). Blinds allowed for a great night sleep, so did the comfy bed and the air conditioner. There was even a TV which allowed us to catch an international track and field meet, and fall asleep on it. Breakfast was well organized; it did not include meat or eggs but had an assortment of bread, cheeses, and yogurts, along with orange juice. A nice yard with tables and chairs provided a green, intimate space to lounge, right inside of the walled city.

Everything about the Hotel was excellent. The location was stunning, great parking, well equipped and comfortable room with stunning views. Both the evening meal and breakfast taken outside on a terrace overlooking the lake and alps in the background, were excellent . The staff were excellent too with attentive hosts and Olga the breakfast waitress is an asset, welcomong, friendly, attentive and excellent at her job.

It was a wonderful stay! Ana was a first person that I met in the hotel. She likes a gentle breeze to set me so comfortable although the room was not ready! With her arrangement that my room was so wonderful! Only problem was I didn’t arrange myself to stay more! Definitely I will return to this hotel!     I stayed there a couple of nights for some extra holiday to ride my MTB after a business trip in Switzerland. The room was very spacious well equipped incl. desk, fridge, large double bed, fan and balcony. On the balcony there was a small table and two chairs, excellent to enjoy the sunset. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, I slept extremely well. The bathroom was not very large, but very clean and all amenities on could need is there. Good bonus is that there was a shower cap, shoe polish, basic sewing kit and shower and shampoo present. The hotel is very well located to go anywhere in the neighbourhood. Plenty of parking space for residents and restaurant visits. Very convenient that there is a restaurant nearby, lovely meat and pizza. Last but not least, their staff is very friendly and helpful. Big bonus for this. I had my bike with me and the hotel/camping has a dedicated bike storage room where they can be safely stored. They have good bike placing stands to put your frond wheel in without damaging the wheel nor any other bike. Again big bonus! The only reason I did not give a 10 star rating is that I might be missing an airco. The room had plenty of sun coming in and it can be warm in the room. However at night, the temperature dropped enough and with blowing some cold air in the room, I had no problem sleeping at night as the room was cooled down.

    I had the pleasure of staying at Bad Murten See in the Deluxe Apartment, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had! The location is absolutely stunning, right by the beautiful lake, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Waking up to such scenic views was a true highlight of my stay. The Deluxe Apartment itself was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with all the amenities I could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It really felt like a home away from home. The room was tastefully decorated and had a cozy, welcoming vibe. The staff was exceptional – friendly, attentive, and always eager to assist with any request. It’s clear that customer service is a top priority here, and they go above and beyond to ensure guests have a fantastic experience. The hotel offers plenty of areas to relax and unwind – whether it’s by the lake or in one of the many lounge areas. The entire environment is perfect for both relaxation and enjoying some quality time in a beautiful setting. I would definitely return to Bad Murten See on my next visit to the area! It exceeded all my expectations, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

    Neuchatel offers a tourist pass with free entry to many attractions in the canton and free public transport. Note that many places are closed on Sundays and/or Mondays. We made the most of the sunshine by taking a train to Buttes and walking in the mountains above the chairlift (included in the tourist pass), with fabulous views over the lake, the Jura and the distant Alps. We also enjoyed a morning boat trip and a peaceful walk through protected marshland at St Blaise. We loved the food in Himalaya Momo.

    It's a very attractive little lakeside town with a medieval centre, including intact and walkable fortification wall, and lots of nice places to eat. It is well-connected transport-wise for visits to nearby attractions like the roman ruins in Avenches or the (really well-worth visiting) 12th century abbey in Payerne. Lake boats ply daily (in summer) to Neuchatel.

    Fantastic style and spacious rooms with an extremely comfortable bed. Due to the proximity to the highway, quick and easy to find. Strongly recommended, especially for people on a longer trip seeking a great stopover. The restaurant is closed on the weekend I was told when I arrived, but there are alternatives nearby.

    Nice medival city - with the Jazz festival it was really great Castle to visit Nice restaurants in the old town On the beach: - good restaurant - Water Skilift even good for beginners - Childrens playground - the beach is with shallow water (small children) - you can rent Winsurfboards etc.

    Lovely town on the side of the lake with good shops, restaurants and some historical sights. Beware it is very hilly away from lakeside but public transport is very good. Good location from which to explore the area by road or rail (but rail is expensive). Cities such as Bern and Lausanne are just under an hour away.

    In summer Neuchâtel clearly has a North-Italian atmosphere to me, originating from the old town buildings, the vibes in the harbour and even home-made icecream everywhere! Prices are better than other Swiss lakeside cities, and the Neuchâtel Tourist Card makes it easy to get around and profit from sights or lake cruises.
