We hired a scooter from a local rental company (Rino’s is best) which allowed us easy access to this stunning property, located in one of the most amazing parts of the island! The house is modern, clean, quiet, and has stunning views. We watched whales from the deck, ate pawpaw fresh from the trees. Our hosts (Simon and Ura) picked us up from the airport and saw us off at the end. Their hospitality during our stay was amazing. They remained in contact to make sure we were happy and assisted us with local recommendations and bookings as well. Absolutely recommend.

Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our stay was perfect made the experience unforgettable. The property itself is a slice of paradise. Surrounded by lush coconut trees, the entire house exudes a peaceful charm. One of the highlights of our stay was the close proximity to the beach—just a short walk away. It’s hands down one of the best beaches we’ve ever visited, with pristine sands and crystal-clear waters that made every moment there magical. The house is fantastic—spacious, immaculately clean, and well-equipped to provide a cozy and comfortable experience. The cool sea breeze and the thoughtful layout of the house ensured we were always comfortable. It’s clear that Vaa and Joliene have put great effort into making Are Kapakapa a home away from home for their guests. Another highlight of our stay was exploring the fruit trees around the property. The coconuts were a delightful treat, perfect for a refreshing snack after spending time at the beach. Every aspect of Are Kapakapa reflects the love and effort that Vaa and Joliene pour into their hospitality. This resort is absolutely beautiful. The views of the coral lagoon is spectacular. If you want a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, this is the resort. The staff are very friendly and called my husband and I by our names.

Dylan was great. He helped us organise to go kite surfing, renting a scooter and picked us uo from the airport and took us back. He was always available to help. The view from the sunbeds was beautiful. Nice sandy beach. Great to have free kayaks and a swimming pool. Filtered water tap to fill up on water. Scooter rental on site so very easy to organise. Books available in reception. Bishop's boat cruise and vaka cruise in walking distance. 2 restaurants and one cafe all in walking distance too.

Amazing newly renovated bungalows right on the beach. Whale watching from the shore. Everything i wanted and away from everybody else but close enough to get into town easily. Maggie the host was super helpful and met us at the airport, arranged a motor scooter for us and then dropped us back at the airport.

It is difficult to take a photo of an island paradise and do it justice. Tai Roto is a truly amazing place to stay. The staff are like one big family make you feel like you are part of it. The attention to detail with the room presentation and the breakfast served to you room each morning is fit for Kings and Queens which we certainly felt like. Yes the internet is not the best but you would spoil your holiday if you had it. There’s the Koru cafe a short walk up the road if you need access. Enjoy the isolation from the outside world..it’s truly an experience
