Our room was amazing, the spring mattress was good but I prefer a different kind so that was the only slight minus. Breakfast offered a good choice of hot and cold food and delicious coffee. It was very easy to rent bikes through the hotel, they also advised us on cycling trips and so we spent an unforgettable day cycling through the vineyards sampling local wine. Mikulov is a lovely little town close to Austrian border.
Mikulov is a lovely little town close to Austrian border. It is famous for its vineyards and wine tasting facilities. You should definitely walk up to the Mikulov castle and Sv Kopecek hill. It is a great old town with plenty of things to see, especially if you are into historical sightseeing and lovely nature/surroundings. Just make sure that you come at the right time. Lednice is an easy place to get to. Hey have great accommodations throughout the city. So many things to see and do as within the area. We loved venturing out on our adventures to see other parts of the country. It is very a beautiful area! People are very accommodating and helpful. This place has wonderful personal. Interested in people’s needs. They have nice and secure parking lot behind a fence. We stayed with a dog there and it was not a problem. They actually have a nice and big garden where our dog could play. It’s also suitable for families with children as they have playground equipment and a big trampoline. I did not like that there is no TV in the room. Only one for everyone in the kitchen. In other hotels it’s kind of regular room equipment. Trebic is well worth a visit.
Trebic is well worth a visit. The Basilica of St Procopius is an architectural gem and the Jewish Quarter has been beautifully preserved. Public transport is best managed from other large cities by bus, as train journeys often have to be broken with complicated changes. Not so good for those of us who are less mobile. I took the Flixbus from Brno in the morning and was in Trebic in an hour. The next day I took another bus to Prague and was there in two hours. If you're taking the Auto Bey bus from Trebic bus station to Prague you need to know it leaves from the side of stand 3, but technically outside the bus station, so the connection isn't on the departures board in the bus station building. The town is in two halves on both banks of the Jihlava river, so don't miss the town square and the church of St. Martin, or the painted house. Trebic also seems to have one or two good cafes as well - always good when you're walking around and need some refreshment.Guest review byClare K.Czech Republic - 10.0

The town was just the right size for a three day visit. We had our dog with us so no museums or galleries were on our list but we were welcome everywhere else. We'd highly recommend Víno Kára (only food available are meat and cheese plates) and Winebar Chatka for their wines (but not for food at all).Guest review byMikeCzech Republic
