When I go to Hamburg, I only stay in this hotel. Very modern, clean and a special place to stay. :) Last time I had an early flight and I went to hotel at 9 in the morning and asked if maybe it is possible to check in early - it was possible! I also needed an iron and it was arranged super quickly. I love everything about this place!

The location is very close to the Jungfernstieg which is a lovely walking and shopping area. The room is exceptional. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, and the little extras like a shoe polishing cloth. We have to leave early in the morning, before 7am, and we were able to make cappuccinos in the bar area near reception which was a welcome start to the day. The valet parking process was smooth, helpful and immediate. We couldn't have been happier.

Really nice beautiful hotel. Rooms are large, the location is good, comfy beds, and everything was clean but in our stay, Atlantic Hotel highly excelled on friendly and helpful staff. From the cleaning staff to the people working at the front desk, I'd like to thank all of you (especially Mats Westen who really worked hard to solve a confusing issue about our trip). You people make a hotel feel like home.

The Best Hotel In Germany I have ever stayed, far better than eg HH Atlantic or HH Reichshof, also definitely much nicer than eg Berlin Adlon. I was for 17th time in HH and first time stayed there. Promised myslef to come back. Definitely I may recommend it as I tend to spend good 1m each year in various hotels across different countries and my stay in HVJ absolutely belonged to the most spledid ones:)

    A very nice hotel with a great ambiance! A nice lobbybar and unfortunately we did not get to experience the "real" bar since it is closed sundays and mondays. The room was excellent and had all the amenities necessary; a special plus for having 2 chairs in the room! Also really great beds and not to mention the duvet; wonderful! Nice breakfast; not excellent but an extra plus for being able to order eggs and omelets by chef. Should one not having breakfast at the hotel there is a huge bakery/cafe across the street.

    Room, breakfast, facilities all excellent. The bar is a "must have" were it only for the spectacular views of the Alster and the city. We treated ourselves also to a dinner in the Lakeside restaurant. Great menu, very creative and delicious dishes, and the wine pairing offered was for the most part super.

    This was our first time in Hamburg and I am very impressed.

    This was our first time in Hamburg and I am very impressed. We were only there for 1 day and a half, but could easily stay a whole week to experience everything. Recommedation: Take the city tour hop on hop off bus, do a full circular route (90 minutes) and make notes of where you would want to spend more time. Then take the bus again (ticket is valid for the whole day) and get off at specific interest points. This will take a whole day. Definitely do the Miniature wonderland. But again, put aside a lot of time for this. This place is incredible!!! Do one floor (2 hours), have lunch, and then do the other floor. (2 hours). Take ferry 62, its included in public transport. Great way to see the city from a different angle.

    Highly recommend Miniature Wunderland, that was cool but I advise getting there as early as possible because it gets very busy which makes it less enjoyable. The food is cheap in there looking at their website, but you can also being your own which is nice. The zoo was also good, but expensive (£26) for it's size. You also have to pay almost the same price to get into the aquarium as well, so we didn't bother with that. Hamburg in general seems like a very expensive city, coming from London, things were almost the same price such as food & drink in a lot of places. You can save a little money by getting the HVV app to buy transport tickets. Visually, there is so much graffiti in Hamburg, it's everywhere. I don't think I've seen that much in any other city I've been to. But besides that, the public transport was clean and I didn't feel unsafe in the city.

    I've spent longer periods in Hamburg...this was merely a layover on a trip where I was en route from Denmark to southern Germany and the Alsace (France). Hamburg requires a least a week to enjoy its museums and night life. It's a fantastic place for both life and history.
