- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 473 reviewsThe host Giota was exceptional, trying her best to cater for my needs. She was letting me to choose the room out of 2, ordering taxis, making calls, providing the breakfast pack as i had to catch the early ferry on the last day of stay. The room was very good, the bed was reasonable size, superking, and exceptional quality mattress. The hotel is a family business and has it homey touch, well presented and looked after property. Was very pleased with my choice of stay there.Guest review byYelienaNew Zealand

Being right across from Avra Beach makes it so convenient—you can literally just walk out and pop over to the sand. The room was spotless, the bed was really comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly. Staff were awesome! Aegina is a beautiful island, and I'm definitely coming back. When I do, I'll absolutely be staying here again!Guest review byKasimBelgium

We stayed in the very comfortable harbor area of Aegina Town. Just a 40-minute ferry from Athens' Pireaus port. Ancient sites to visit. Lots of harbor restaurants for beverages and dining. A relaxing way to settle in from international travel before our extended tour of Athens and the Peloponnese tour. Would have been a great wind-down stay afterward too.Guest review byPaulUnited States - 8.0

The beach is the longest sandy beach on Aegina which is predominately lovely sand there are some mixed stones and sand at the far but nothing to bad. The water is shallow and mainly calm wit a big sand bar a few meters out I would say very safe for children The sunbed range in quality and price ranging from 20 euros a set with parasol to 12 euros which obviously also is based on location and convenience to the beach bars and taverna's. Some beds are free if you spend money in the taverna's We loved the beach and clear warm warms that September bringsGuest review byMichael MawsonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Souvala is quieter than Aegina Town but that is not a bad...
Souvala is quieter than Aegina Town but that is not a bad thing. It is more laid back. It has some good tavernas, bars and restaurants. The souvlaki at Theophilos is to die for. With a Greek salad and a small Carafe of wine , two Souvlakis 17 Euros. That's great. There us a,small beach near the small harbour. There is also a another beach slightly out of the town which in high season has sunbeds and a bar. Just a short walk.. Souvala has a good Supermarket Bakery and some other little shops too. Lovely little place. And 15 mins by taxi to.Aegina,Town .Guest review byRosalindUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Like mentioned, 17 days were too long.
Like mentioned, 17 days were too long. But with a car it made a difference. My daughters boys are not young children, they are super active 17 and 14 year old teenagers and the activities my daughter and them did around the island is mindboggling. Snorkeling, scuba diving, renting bikes going all over the island. Climbing the highest point in Moni Island and jumping off cliffs. I am sure they know the island better then a lot of locals. We live in Cape Town, SA and are spoiled by unbelievable scenery, so its often hard not to compare. The time of year we chose was great. Warm nights, hot days and the water amazingly warm.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

It was a quaint place with a nice vibe for walking around at night , especially near the sea at night . There are also some amazing historical sites to visit as-well . If you're looking for a peaceful place to relax and explore , thus is a great place.Guest review bysardar - 6.0
Public transport on the island is not great so personal...
Public transport on the island is not great so personal transport is required. You can see all you need to in 24-48 hours. I’m glad I visited but I didn’t find anything to make me want to return. My travel companion is vegan and it was very difficult to find vegan options on menus, and none that contained vegan protein in the many restaurants in Aegina or Perdika which we also visited.Guest review byDeirdreIreland - 10.0

Great city with very nice and inviting streets to browse around, shop, lunch/dinner places. Aegina has also a very pittoresk port area with lots of opportunities having a drink and enjoying the view to the fishing boats and yachts. Aegina Stadt is also a great place to start excursions by scooter, car or by feet.Guest review byPetraGermany - 10.0
Agia Marina is great.
Agia Marina is great. I have been there many times and will go back next year. Nikos beach bar is the best place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are many places to eat and drink. We weren't looking for nightlife so I have no idea about what is available but the bars were very nice. The sandy beach is lovely and the water is shallow for a long way out so great for children. There are well stocked supermarkets, a great pharmacy and a lovely bakery. Basically everything you need for a simple beach holiday. People are very friendly. A trip to the Temple of Aphaia is highly recommended. You CAN walk (we did) but I wouldn't recommend it if you are not used to really steep hill walking. Taxis and buses will take you there. We always enjoy our stay in Agia Marina and will keep going back.Guest review byCassiGreece
