This hotel is a little slice of paradise on Naxos, its nestled away from the other hotels right by the sea and any time we returned there after the days activities we were instantly swept up in the calm and tranquility of the place. Such an incredible setting with wonderful friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. The breakfasts were so delicious everyday, the pool is gorgeous, the private beach is brilliant. Honestly I could go on and on! Easily the most wonderful hotel I've stayed at and im so glad I chose it for our honeymoon, I'll never forget it. Thank you to Eleni and the rest of the staff for all you did for us!

What an absolute gem at Plaka. From the moment we got there, till the moment we left, our experience was beyond of what we could have asked for The beautiful villa, the amazing pool, access to the gorgeous beach, fresh and delicious food.. and above all, the lovely staff who took care of us, like you won't believe. As a testimony to our love for this hotel; We left for our next destination, Paros, for a 3 day stay, however, 24 hours later we were back at Sundunes, because we could not find this level of standards at our next hotel. Why change a winning formula, right? Last but not least; a hugr thank you to Nasos, George, George 2, Anastasia and the rest of the team! It's a very attractive place to stay and a good centre for visiting the rest of this fascinating island. The narrow streets in the old area around the citadel are fascinating to explore. Very wide choice of excellent restaurants, most of them very reasonably priced. Staff are invariably pleasant and helpful, and usually speak English fluently. The bus office is also a great facility.

Plaka has a fantastic beach and many restaurants. It is a place to be but not be all day every day. This was not our goal for vacation. We drove up into the mountains to Rotunda for lunch, to Johnny's for a dinner and to see schools, many small villages and their orthodox churches, filled with icons! You can take a marble carving class with Maggie Ross! Naxos has much more to offer than beaches. Paragliding was also exciting to watch in the south. Chora and the harbor were fun to experiences. There are many opportunities waiting to be enjoyed beyond the beaches on Naxos!

Very nice big calm beach but unfortunately I went in October and some days it rained. I would recommend going also to a beach a little south called Mikri Vigla where you can find smaller more intimate beaches.

Mikri Vigla is a quiet town with a couple bakeries and restaurants. Beautiful sunsets and beaches, but you should have a car / moped to get around. The bus from Naxos Chora is infrequent and drops off at the beach, not the town proper.

Hotel was difficult to find. It didn't show on Google maps. Eventually found out about 100 meters north out of town where one market is directly across the street from another market. The market on the right out of town essentially checks you in.

Unfriendly owners. Don’t make the mistake and eat in the only other taverna- you won’t get any breakfast and they will treat you like enemies…. If the owners won’t change their habit stay away from this family!

I recommend hiring a quad bike to explore more beaches and the inland areas. This location is very good for if you have a quad bike as you can travel between the old town and the beaches along the coast on the other side, as well as inland. Quad hire is very reasonably priced and the company we used is very nearby. This is a lovely peaceful area. Groceries are a little expensive and there is a bigger supermarket than the one on the corner that has some more options. There are many lovely restaurants a very short walk from the accommodation, along the beach. A few have seating on the actual sand which is really special and romantic for couples.

We liked the premises and quiet sandy beach. There is free parking on premise and some very good restaurants nearby. Make sure that when you get the sea view room, you ask for the direct and not the side views room.

The people in Naxos were all so kind and thoughtful. The town felt very authentic. The food was delicious. The island had many charming places , but was difficult to navigate. GPS often took you off main roads and into areas difficult to drive and easy to get lost.
