SloveniaThe hotel staff went above and beyond. I got a free upgrade into a chalet with a beautiful sea view. The pan fried sea bass I had for dinner was amazing. Everything was spotlessly clean and all the staff were great, particularly Joanna on reception who arranged for my phone charger to be put on the ferry to the mainland, after I left it in my room, and the hotel manager who took it down to the ferry port. Cannot fault this hotel, highly recommended.

IrelandIt was such a beautiful and peaceful stay on the island. We have everything right on our doorsteps and all necessities in the home. The owner messaged to inform of what's opened on the island while leaving a beautiful home made brown bread and treats to enjoy. A very informative guest book with all the island has to offer !
I would advise this stay to anyone travelling to the island and can't wait to book my next trip back !

United StatesThis was an Elopement Getaway and our first trip to both The Aran Islands and to Ireland, so we wanted to make the most of our time by staying in "The Best" 5 star resorts, castles, Airbnbs and Aran Walkers Lodge! Without hesitation, I can say Aran Walkers Lodge was our favorite stay and "picture perfect" from the moment we checked in until we checked out! Much like the magnificent landscapes, warm welcoming people, delicious food, the historical pubs castles and monuments on Inis Mor, our stay at Aran Walker's Lodge was exactly what comes to mind when I think of Ireland! The view from the lodge is stunning and the location of the property is a beautiful bike ride away from everything we wanted to see (Wormhole, Dún Aonghasa, The Seal Colony, the Sweater Market and much more)....They even provide the bikes for a small fee (much easier and economical than renting from the pier). Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and quaintly decorated, the complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the owner Sean was welcoming and helpful- he advised us on walks, transport and places to eat. THE perfect host! And, Julia...what an absolute gem this beautiful and brilliant girl is! The care, kindness and extra effort she put into any request we had made it feel like we were staying with family...To think she is a volunteer is unbelievable to me. We cannot Thank you enough for turning our dream Ireland Elopement into reality!

Such a beautiful island.
Such a beautiful island. Peace, nature, wildlife, beautiful hand knitted aran jumpers in the shops, good food and friendly local people. There are horses and carts that will take you round the island. What a way to travel! Loved my time there.Guest review byJacquelineSlovenia - 8.0

Excellent property and fantastic hosts. Great communication when I had an email query. Lovely extras like milk and bread in the fridge when we arrived. Absolutely spotless property and very well equipped. The bathrooms were lovely and there was plenty hot water. Lots of space, it's a huge house! Plenty entertaining space. Cute little town - convenient to the ferry. Lovely scenery. Great if you hike or bike(unless it’s raining, which it was for us). Pub food is about the only option, it’s a little elevated at the Hotel. We took the hop on bus, only two stops, not a tour - the driver didn’t say much. The island is absolutely isolated.
The island is absolutely isolated. Only transportation is bicycles. Most tourists arrive on the morning ferry and leave on the evening ferry so when you stay overnight, it is very, very quiet and isolated. We really loved that part of it! “Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0

Outside the town is more interesting than inside.
Outside the town is more interesting than inside. But avoid the minibus tours. Our driver, John, spent five frickin' hours driving around trying to find more passengers, during which time he showed us only two of the sights. He also spent some of the time essentially providing a taxi service, and treated his taxi customers with much more consideration than his tour passengers. There is lots to see and do on the island.
There is lots to see and do on the island. Lots of history and prehistoric monuments. If you are into live music, there's no shortage of that. The Islanders we met were kind and welcoming. We have dietary restrictions, but we're still able to find decent food to eat.
