I have had the pleasure to stay in this facility for 3 days. I booked it because it was close to my place of interest, because it had good reviews and because the pictures looked pretty. Little did I know how much I underestimated this resort! The combination of tranquility, breathtaking views from your "room", the omnipresent luxury, selection of superb activities, the cuisine, the actual living forest all around you and overall hospitality and service simply cannot be described by words. One must experience it first-hand to fully appreciate this gem of a property. This property is situated literally inside a functioning coffee plantation, where you can explore the coffee making process from blossom to brewing (and roast / grind coffee beans yourself!). That is only one of the few exceptional activities offered, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The plantation is huge, and so is the resort itself. So of course they drive you with a buggy, whenever you are not in a mood for a little walk. Your "room" is actually a cottage, suspended above tree foliage, with a sense of complete privacy, even though a next cottage is nearby. The view has depth which can only be experienced by the seashore, or at high altitude. The connection to nature is taken very seriously here, and can also be felt intensely everywhere - whether you are relaxing on the terrace of your cottage, or walking to the pool and spa, or just having dinner. Talking about dining. The selection and variety of meals is astonishing, and so is the flavor. The whole dining experience is wonderful - the taste, the drinks & cocktails, the fact that you are actually dining above the waterfall, prompt and kind service offered by every staff member (waiters and managers alike). I would especially like to spotlight Mr.Bishu, who was serving us for the duration of our stay. He was always professional, very kind, attentive to all our needs, and so polite. This is our 6th or 7th stay in BLR and each time we had a different experience. Weather was a little against us especially since we failed to visit Bannerghatta Zoo for the second time in a row. Excellent food options and kids enjoyed Empire hotel's coin parotta and butter chicken, a must try combination.

Very good but...... 1) The palace visit is too hyped. I have seen smaller yet better palaces 2) Vrindavan Gardens is BADLY in need of maintenance 3) The Holy Father didn't ask me to take off my shoes in the Cistine chapel or anywhere in the Vatican SO why should a bunch of his priests do that at one of his cathedrals (St Philomina's) ? Did'nt go in, Was much more impressed with the beautifully curated Payana Car Museum in Srirangapatna and the Bonsai garden and the Sukhvana parrot Aviary in Mysuru

Please don't expect much like Ooty or Kodaikanal. Coorg or Madikeri is a very small place with an average climate. Not much to see when compared to Kodaikanal or Ooty. It didn't meet my expectations.

Gokarna is a real surprise.

Gokarna is a real surprise. People are very friendly, the town is fascinating with all its temples, cows, dogs and pilgrims. I enjoyed it so much more than Hampi which I thought was crowded, dirty and full of hassle. Gokarna people are polite and welcoming. Apart from the town it has some nice beaches, even Main beach is good once you walk away from the town. We arrived at the weekend on the day before a very big ceremony. It was very busy, but such a spectacle, and wonderful to see. Genuine people and a very spiritual place.

The staff were pleasant, well trained, high etiquettes and overall a homely feel with the Admin staff, Front office, reception, relationship staff, Kitchen and restaurant staff...ev erything more than expected.....

Nice well developed city with hotels, restarants, not too much traffic etc. Taxi and Autos are very costly. UBER, OLA are not welcome to pick travellers from Railway stations. FAcilities in the railway stations (Manglore Juntion and Mangalore Central) can be better.

It is all about the hills you climb through Car, Bikes and JEEPS. there are few waterfalls that makes you amaze your day especially kemmenagundi falls were really good. you can spend two days without boring in chikmangalur. You can find rooms are cheaper in the town i advise to go directly and book instead of getting trapped through online.
