⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review for Moshik and Our Incredible Stay at Villa Bertagni! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our recent stay at Villa Bertagni was an absolute delight, and it was largely thanks to the exceptional service provided by Moshik, our wonderful host. From the moment we arrived, Moshik's warm and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect in every way. Let's start with the breakfast - oh my, it was simply scrumptious! Moshik made sure that we had a wide array of delectable options to choose from, catering to every palate. Each morning, we looked forward to starting our day with this delightful spread. But it wasn't just the breakfast that impressed us. Moshik's knowledge about the area was unparalleled. He enthusiastically shared valuable insights about all the must-see places and hidden gems in the surroundings. Thanks to him, we were able to explore the area to the fullest and make the most of our vacation. Villa Bertagni itself was a slice of paradise. The tranquil ambiance and the well-maintained pools were a real treat, especially after a day of sightseeing. The beautiful surroundings added to the overall charm, making it a perfect retreat to relax and unwind. One of the highlights of our stay was the perfect location of Villa Bertagni, which offered fantastic hiking opportunities around the area. The nearby trails and scenic routes allowed us to immerse ourselves in nature's beauty, providing breathtaking views and memorable experiences. Moshik even recommended the best routes based on our preferences, making our hiking adventures even more enjoyable. Moshik's attention to detail and genuine care for his guests truly set him apart. He anticipated our needs before we even asked, ensuring that we lacked nothing during our stay. Whether it was suggesting restaurants or providing additional amenities, Moshik took care of it all with a smile.

This villa was absolute perfection. The breathtaking views, especially at sunset, were unforgettable. The home was incredibly comfortable, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped for a relaxing stay. Seeing fireflies at night at olive garden was magical. We loved the peaceful, serene atmosphere—perfect for unwinding by the pool or enjoying wine on the terrace. Truly one of the most relaxing and beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. Hosts were nice and special gratitude to a dog Argo who was a faithful friend and security guard to us during whole stay.

The location is very nice. A small and quiet historic village with a few houses by the lake. For people who love mountains and peace and quiet, this is a great place to stay. The owners are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple, but it's nice to have the opportunity to eat before a mountain hike. The rooms are equipped with a refrigerator and are clean.

Castelnouvo is a beautiful town. It has lots of Bars. Restaurants. Gelaterias. In the holiday month of August it usually has entertainment. Plus every Thursday morning has a typical Italian Market. It's a perfect base to explore the Garfagniana region of Tuscany. Absolutely love it. A must see town.

Barga is quiet, not heaving with tourists, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful.it’s a lovely hill top town. We did a couple of their recommended walks…not easy walking. Tourist info office not open Monday through Wednesday, try the travel agency accross the road from The Alpino. Take the bus to Barga from Lucca, as Barga is on a hill and the station is in the valley, a few kilometres away, can’t guarantee taxi either.

Simple location fo get some quiet, views and be on your own.

Simple location fo get some quiet, views and be on your own. The Castle is cool to visit, we had. Nice dinner there and enjoyed the lights at night. We ate at the little restaurant near the tower but on the other side of the square. Very friendly but don’t speak English at all. They are happy to make communication successful though. Getting there and going anywhere from there is a curvy, long drive. Not a place to stay if your plans are to go to the Cinque Terre or other further spots.

Lovely perched north Tuscany village, a bit off the beaten track, with very kind locals and stunning countryside. Lively community, pretty churches and a lot of things to do. Mountain biking, kids can play in the nearby river, hiking, exploring ancient villages. And, just half an hour from Lucca and 1,5 hour to the seaside.

The most favourite place that I have visited in all the world and I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Tuscanyt. Barga Veccia ,has a stunning Cathedral, an Opera house, many fabulous restuarants and throughout the town there are many art galleries and individual shops to explore. There is also a swimming pool open during the summer months. Do not miss going to Casa de Vino for wine tasting and picnic. It is also easy to travel from there to Lucca, Viaregio Castelnouvo and you can even visit Florence from here for the day. Bite the bullet and go there you will not regret it, enjoy.

The long drive up the winding mountain road to Scillio is a paltry sum to pay for the treasure that awaits those willing to wander up. The beauty and authenticity of this small hill town is enough to make a grown man openly weep. The care that the residents of this small community have lavished on this meticulously maintained community of stone buildings is evident in every house, alleyway, doorway, garden, window, and terrace. The remarkable condition of the town as a whole allows one to focus on the beauty and elegance of the rustic details when you are not mesmerized by the breathtaking views. Only one restaurant, and very little English spoken. Breakfast was amazing.

It is a beautiful mountain village with cobble stone streets and a feeling of tranquility, happiness, while enjoying the nature and elegance of the beautiful stone houses. One of the things we also loved was that the people in Coreglia Anteminelli are very friendly and welcoming.

The town was beautiful and nature is wonderful. We would love to come back. We came on a Monday and several restaurants were closed because it was in the beginning of October. It will be nice to be in the town, when all places are open.
