This hotel is the place to go to if you want to know why family run places in general are better than big hotels, because this is an example of a family hotel when it's at its best. We were extremely well taken care of and looked after during our stay.

It seems to be in a small green oasis. The staff speaks perfectly english and french, the bungalow was very spacious, clean and fresh. Beautiful pool too. I only had lunch but it was delicious. I think au cabaret vert is a perfect get away to immerse in a quiet garden. PS: try the homemade jam! I wish i had time to taste more dishes xx

The property is clean, bright, and beautifully designed. The room was spacious with a large, modern bathroom. I was truly amazed by how kind and smiling the staff were — their warmth made a big difference. I already want to come back, and it’s mostly because of this amazing team. I also really enjoyed having my morning coffee on the balcony with a lovely view of the pool. The peaceful atmosphere and stylish interior were the cherry on top.

Comfy bed , hot water , quiet nights sleep, good quiet aircon and a television that works ( if you want it ) Wi-Fi wasn’t too bad , location was good for me, just out of main area as I don’t mind a walk .

Bambu Hotel in Battambang completely exceeded my expectations! The hotel is even more beautiful than the pictures. I had a most wonderful time at the Hotel Royal, excellent located near the art deco Central market. I was very happy with my big room, very clean and very well priced. Most of all I was overwhelmed by the friendliness and hospitality of the family owner, very warm people. Tip: do not book your Bambootrain activity online, but go for a local tuktukdriver, such as Mr Han. Well recommended this hotel!
