The new part has been developed very well.

The new part has been developed very well. I think in few years when it gets greener it will be even better. Contains of mesmerising old mausoleum that is taking your breath away. Even tho we were unlucky with ongoing renovations and didnt see the inside part, it was a beautiful experience with many underground museums and seeing on the ancient architecture and culture of Kazakhstan. Many restaurants, amazing cinema experience in the museum (that looks like an egg) that shows the most beautiful places in Kazakhstan.

Turkistan is a wonderful destination, rich in history and culture. The mausoleum and the surrounding landscape, along with the vibrant streets and friendly people, create an unforgettable experience. There is a diverse array of food to try, and you can immerse yourself in the local culture. Additionally, the pleasant weather adds to the appeal. In simple terms, Turkistan is a fantastic place to visit if you want to learn about history, experience different cultures, and enjoy delicious cuisine.

This is a holy site for Kazakhs and Muslims in the region.

This is a holy site for Kazakhs and Muslims in the region. The Xodzha Yassawi Mosaleum was incredibly beautiful and the area around it has been nicely developed into a modern area. Beyond the Mosaleum, a new area has been built since the city became the regional capital in 2018, with many new shopping malls, hotels, and restaurants. The old town is also very charming and has many cheap, delicious restaurants. Highly recommend!
