Home in this case is an incredibile resort on the side of the Mekong river and offers incredible views and amazing sunsets in a relaxing atmosphere. Absolutely recommended!

Stayed for two nights and wished I had booked more. The staff here are some of the kindest people I’ve met on my trip. They helped me rent a bicycle, suggested local food spots, and even checked in on me when it rained. My room was clean, quiet, and had everything I needed. Loved it.

I had a truly wonderful experience at Dream 1985 Hotel. The location is perfect — tucked in a quiet lane but still within walking distance to the night market and main attractions in Luang Prabang. The room was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. I especially loved the balcony with a view of the pool — such a relaxing space to enjoy a morning coffee. The bed was super comfortable and the air-conditioning worked perfectly. The staff were incredibly warm, helpful, and kind. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, from arranging transportation to giving local tips. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, eggs, and local options — a perfect start to the day.

A brand new hotel with a pool next to the room(ground floor). You can literally jump into the pool from your room, take a swim and get out to be back in your room again (We didn't do it because it was December, but definitely do it if your are in Laos during the hotter months). The rooms are spacious and perfect for couples. The staff is warm, polite and always there to attend to your requests. We loved the regular supply of delicious mangoes in the breakfast everyday! I have stayed in many high-end hotels with generic breakfast, but the breakfast here tasted better, even if the breakfast spread is not huge. I found an adorable cat sitting outside our room in the balcony. The cat didn't want to leave us, and neither did we, but cat lovers can expect a pleasant surprise, though not everyday. The location is just the right distance from the center of Luan Prabang, which can be quite crowded over the weekends. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is a great option.

A new, small boutique hotel with lots of charm, large rooms with great views and excellent equipment. We discovered by walking after several deceiving searches. It is even better than the photos ! The location is ideal - very central and quiet. In addition a very warm welcome and excellent specific help to find the best tours, restaurants, cocktail bars and so much more. The decoration is a very elegant mix of modern and traditional objects with a desire to source ethically and support local artisans. The best hotel we had in Laos at a very fair price. Profit to book while it is not yet known!

The property is situated right on the Mekong river with a beautiful view. It's a very peaceful atmosphere. Sitting outside for breakfast and afternoon for "Happy Hour" is just so relaxing. The buffalos grazing nearby is the best. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As the property is situated outside the city they provide a shuttle bus to take you down town. Free of charge. The rooms are spacious and lovely decorated. The food is good. Internet is good. Lots of TV channels, even many English speaking ones.

The Apsara is a lovely characterful building that is very well appointed and in keeping with the style and age. Our room had everything needed for a very comfortable stay (7 nights) and we could have stayed longer. The hotel is well positioned making exploring Luang Prabang easy. Luang Prabang a lovely place to visit and to spend time and staying at the Apsara enhanced this. Good English spoken by the staff and excellent assistance when help needed.

My stay at Villa Chitdara was outstanding. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the balcony with a view of the garden was a bonus. Breakfast was outstanding- numerous options, including a cooked breakfast, fresh fruit and good coffee. The location was perfect; within walking distance to the sights and eateries, yet on a quiet street. I will stay here next time I am in Luang Prabang. Highly recommend.

Excellent layout that is a stone’s throw to town (use loca app for cabs! It’s wonderful) Large rooms with excellent sheet and comfortable furniture. The staff were so helpful and nothing was a problem. There was a courtesy bus to and from the main town free of charge. We took the bikes out which were free of charge, a great way to see the town. They rganised a trip to the waterfall as well as train and taxi to Vientiane. Would definitely recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel.

UNESCO World Heritage site with buildings dating from the French Colonial days. If you love temples, then Luang Prabang is the place to go. The town is generally very tidy and well maintained and is easy to get around. Well worth a visit!

Luang Prabang is a peaceful and beautiful city, perfect for relaxing. I enjoyed the calm atmosphere, friendly people and the mix of culture and nature everywhere. Getting around the city is quite easy — most places are walkable, and you can also use tuk-tuks for longer distances. There are many nice cafés and restaurants, and trying local Lao food was one of the highlights. The temples, night market and riverside areas are great to explore. For families with children, the city is safe and not too crowded, with plenty of outdoor spots to enjoy. Overall, it’s a lovely place to visit and I would definitely come again.

The city has numerous amenities that will make ones stay very enjoyable: great eating places, very easy to walk around, very safe, river dining/trips, adventure opportunities such as waterfalls, caves. The best part is the Mandalao Elephant Sanctuary, excellent experience interacting with the elephants in their natural habitat. Laos Buffalo Dairy, Luang Prabang Yoga, Big Brother Mouse House, numerous Massage options, and just relaxing!!
