- From US$198 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 312 reviewsHonestly, Sami Gardens may well be the best place i've ever stayed(!). It was like something out of a postcard, absolutely beautiful small hotel, with spectacular views of the pitons. Waking up every morning and opening the door of my room to have a coffee on my balcony will be a memory I return to time and time again. The pool I had mostly to myself the entire stay which felt like utter luxury, being there only 8 rooms across the entire accommodation. So great for a dip in the morning and after returning from a day exploring. My room (number 1) was huge - clean and comfortable plus the cooking facilities were ideal for me, I made breakfast and dinner there most evenings after watching the sunset and listening to the insects chirping. Absolute bliss! The staff were all so attentive and friendly, I felt super safe there as a solo traveller, and they helped me book taxis (as I didn't have a car) to take me to the beach and surrounding tourist areas (Anse Mamin was a strong favourite - have the fish burger at the Jungle Beach Bar!!), plus their driver Nico was incredible, I was sad to say goodbye to him at the end of my trip as he'd been so timely and gone above and beyond to cart me around during my stay, stopping off to take pictures at key landmarks. I also had breakfast at the hotel my first morning on their decking and it was delicious, plus they also have a small shop on site for wine / beers / food essentials too. I cannot fault Samfi Gardens and am looking forward to coming back to stay again, absolute 10/10!!Guest review byRosannaUnited Kingdom

The rooms are breathtaking, the people super friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. When you are staying at Hotel Chocolat you must do the Sunset Cruise with Captain Cream. It was our favorite experience from 1 moth travel in the Caribbean. Can't wait to go back someday.Guest review bySherylSwitzerland

Right by the beach with excellent restaurants and bars all within walking distance. Some shops for holiday shopping and a good supermarket if you are self catering. Everything you want for a holiday in the sun.Guest review byPaulaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
If you want to get around to other islands and Gros Islet...
If you want to get around to other islands and Gros Islet Street Party, make sure you negotiate the price for a round trip. Make SURE you emphasize round trip. Some taxi men are so money hungry and will give you a price of round trip, but then try and tell you they meant one way. DON'T let them do that. Get clear clarification for your round trip.Guest review byMercedesUnited States - 10.0
The whole area looks like paradise.
The whole area looks like paradise. The people are nice and friendly, lots of restaurants and things to do. Roads are a little narrow and there are potholes and access to some of the beaches is through bad roads therefore definetly recommend an SUV to just not care about this aspect.Guest review byIonut-RazvanRomania - 8.0
I enjoyed my stay at Marigot Beach Resort.
I enjoyed my stay at Marigot Beach Resort. I loved the ambience, my room, the cleanliness of the hotel and the customer service. The menu was varied enough, though the meals could have been a bit tastier. I plan on revisiting there in two weeks' time - on business. I recommend Marigot Beach Resort for its beauty, serenity and comfort.Guest review bySusanTrinidad and Tobago - 6.0

The beach is very nice; the southern end is quieter with shallower waters. The mall has a lot of different eating options and a large supermarket. Most of the tourists speak English and English is the language of the island. You can take day cruises from Rodney Bay MarinaGuest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 10.0
We really liked Anse La Raye.
We really liked Anse La Raye. It's a typical fishing village where you can see how locals live. I do recommend restaurant called Valelse Sports Bar & Soup Kitchen. We dined there on 4 occasions, food and service we really good:)Guest review byMaciejPoland - 10.0

We visited the waterfall, Deborah swam and I enjoyed being in the tropical rainforest. Deborah also went for the fish foot massage. We both went to the nearby fishing village and enjoyed a Piton or two talking to the fishermen. .Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Excellent location if you want to be able to visit restaurants and shopping and the beach is excellent - it is far from the international airport (but close to the regional airport) and most tourist sites, but if you want more than just to stay at your hotel - go for Gros Islet! Easy enough to organise trips to the mud baths, etcGuest review byNancyUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Castries is a harsh city. Not violet.
Castries is a harsh city. Not violet. But difficult to spend time in. It's not setup for tourists who are not in a resort or on a cruise. There are very few sit-down atmospheric restaurants and bars. It's a city for the locals and its a poor community. Everyone I met was very nice and friendly. They are wonderful people. But it's not what you might call 'charming'. The roads and traffic are a nightmare and a day here is enough. Rodney Bay is a much more vacation friendly place. I mostly enjoyed my stay here, but be prepared for confronting the results of colonial abuse and corruption. Frankly the locals are demonstrating a high degree of humility, love and forgiveness despite what our western ancestors have done to them, and are still doing. I learned something very important about western entitlement by staying here.Guest review byWarneCanada - 10.0

Soufrierre was a highlight during our week of independent travel in st. Lucia. So many nearby attractions , yet its a quaint small town. We actually walked to the diamond mine botanical gardens and thermal baths. A variety of restaurants (Fedo’s has a wonderful veg plate) are walkable but there is also a supermarket and local market for self catering. The easily assessable lovely public beach is clean and has clear water perfect for a refreshing dip. Sitting there in the evening with the petite piton as the view is a memorable image.Guest review byKathleenCanada
