A wonderful hotel with wonderful staff. It only opened in March but it was very homely and comfortable. Our bedroom was enormous with stunning views of the sea. The pool was perfect and because it is a relatively small hotel, 11 rooms and a penthouse, there wasn’t a problem getting a sun bed regardless of time of day. No towels on sunbeds at sunrise here. Breakfast was good, great juice, fresh fruit and breads to accompany the cooked dishes. I would definitely recommend this hotel for quality and position as there were so many restaurants close by. And loved Kiki the hotel dog who was so sweet.

We LOVED the sun house, even though we have always stayed in really nice places in Sri Lanka, this was by far the best. The location is great, you pay around 200 LKR to go to Galle Fort. The garden and the house itself is beautiful. The food was great, one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. Really good value for money and super tasty. And the staff was simply amazing. There was always someone around and usually we even didn’t have to say anything- when we left the room, they would think of cleaning our room, if we lay down by the pool they would bring water. They remember all our wishes for breakfast (eg no bananas) and we never had to ask for it again. I want to particularly point out the service of Priyantha and Tharindu, they were lovely and always had a nice story to tell or a recommendation to give. Thank you so much for making our stay special

We had a pleasant 2 days stay in this beautiful and stylish hotel with bespoke interiors and convenient location near the beach and not far from the Galle Fort. The hotel staff Varuni and Roshan were extremely helpful and nice. They helped us with our requests to make our stay the most comfortable. The breakfast prepared by the staff was delicious and nicely served. We look forward to staying in Taavetti Hotel again.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. Kasun and his great team really made it special. From beginning to the end everything was taken well care of and in perfect order. The food is delicious! We had dinner both nights and it was perfect. The breakfast is stunning and served in the most scenic location. The room is airy, pretty designed and the bed is comfy. It feels like a vip experience with only 4 rooms and the pool is breathtaking too. We hope to come back another time! 😍

We were warmly greeted and welcomed as soon as we stepped out from the vehicle and Ms.Tashmila,the Booking.com representative took care of our reservation immediately and briefed us on the facilities and accompanied right into the suite. The most outstanding person we found at the dining and that was Janaka Prasad, the F&B mangager.He was very accommodative and his entire staff was very courteous, attentive and cheerful. The service was excellent and I noticed that they took care of all guests who were present with a lot of affection. Overall,our stay was very enjoyable and kudos to the management of Occidental Eden Gardens 👍 I'm super excited to come back someday with all my family and friends to Eden Gardens Beruwala

The pool was gorgeous and so much fun, and the tour around the plantation was great and very interesting - my little boy (aged 10) loved it. Our room was amazing, an upstairs room with a mezzanine floor and a window that looked out onto jungle - we saw black monkeys there, as well as elsewhere on the site, and there were so many kingfishers! (A couple of our wildlife shots from the site are added here.) The staff, like everyone in Sri Lanka, were all beautiful people who always went out of their way to help you. We will definitely return!

The hotel lobby is just breath taking, this hotel was chosen as a relaxation stop , which really did that, Our room was facing the sea in the first building what a super view we could hear the waves crashing on the shore, Had a great meal then went to listen to the saxophone player at the Bar he was superb what a talent, Their was also an artist selling his paintings so purchased 2 as it was his last night their .Breakfast was plentiful something for everyone , my son even managed a massage before we left. Thank you for the experience.

The environment was really great and something new for my family and specially for my children. The food really freshly cooked and served upon order. Plenty to do in Galle, well worth visiting. Just DON’T use the White Queen, as the manager will make it very difficult for you to get any redress if there’s a problem (I was charged for a five night stay instead of Four, and only realised after payment had been taken-silly me!) Enjoy your stay, just elsewhere in Galle.

Its a fantastic place, just at the beach and well planned...

Its a fantastic place, just at the beach and well planned hotel, pools, beach, restaurants, bars, lobbys are equally catering to customer service points. We had our best hotel experience at Araliya Unawatuna. Even met the owner and had a generous chat during breakfast which is so touching and personalized service standard I believe. Easy to visit Galle Fort, just a walk to the golden sandy beaches. Staff from top management to the ground staff is well trained to give excellent customer care. We specially thanking to our 7th flour room service staff who simply helped us in technical support, bars and restaurant staff and Nethmi & Dakshika and all wonderful reception staff memebers.

Hikkaduwa is one of the best tourist beach spots with friendly and helpful local people. The weather is cool even though we had some rain, but we stayed at the villa on the balcony watching people fishing kayaking and canoeing down the River. The beach area has some unique fresh seafood restaurants, surfing, snorkeling and you can even rent out glass-bottomed boat to see underwater world. There is also a Turtle Hatchery here and Tsunami museum for tourists. Beach is very clean.

Ahangama is so peaceful - it's slightly away from the busier areas around the coast. The restaurants around are in great locations, and all very calm with great vibes. It's also very easy and quick to get to neighbouring towns to visit sites, or restaurants in those locations as well.

Great beach with very few people.

Great beach with very few people. Not suitable for swimming as the current is very strong. Also, as a solo female traveller, because there are so few people on the beach it is advisable to be extra cautious. One morning when I was walking by myself, there was a man in the bushes who exposed himself to me (intentionally). So use caution.

I recently stayed at La Kurumba for two nights, and everything about the hotel was exceptional! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The food was absolutely delicious — every meal was a treat. Great beach, we felt like Robinson Crusoe on the beach,...

Great beach, we felt like Robinson Crusoe on the beach, almost just the 2 of us. Visiting Mahdu Lake at 6 a.m. watching the sun goes up. A natural paradise with a lot of birds and other animals. Listening to their different noises. Dining at the Mangrove Cave Restaurant we enjoyed freshest seafood. It was just very tasty.

My favourite place was the turtle hatchery.

My favourite place was the turtle hatchery. Most meals were eaten at the Hotel. Very easy to get around. There is a tour agency opposite the hotel entrance, it cant get any better than that. It is easy to take tuk tuk or van taxis. Superior beach front view. Beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Well done to the management and staff for this top class facility. Local fishermen were easy to approach and social chat with.
