Great view of lions rock from the terrace and from of the more special rooms ,check in check out very quick and easy ,booked by phone no problems excellent communication via WatsApp . Room large and comfortable good size bed air conditioning and fan . Great view of rock from the terrace means you can take pictures as the light changes without moving ,bathroom ok plenty of towels and products .

We loved everything!! There is an amazing view of Sigiriya rock from all over the place. Dhananjaya who works there is an amazing person, takes care of everything and made sure we had a perfect stay. I cannot rate our stay here highly enough and dont really know where to start. We were so glad we had three nights here and could have stayed longer. Dinusha and his staff were the absolute best. We had so many laughs with them. We got taken to the Dambulla caves and the vegetable and spice markets which was a fantastic day. There is a perfect view of Lion Rock from the balcony. The dinner we had there was delicious but there are also lots of good options a 10 minute walk away down from the side road where Lion See is. The beers were a good price and cold, the pool was immaculate and the rooms were big and clean. I honestly can't find any faults with this place and we were sad to leave. Thanks Dinusha for being so fun! Love Jeremy and Donna

The rooms were so big and comfortable, the staff attends to your needs making you feel pampered throughout your stay, my treatments were just amazing the doctor and therapist are so aware of what you need and they are so kind and attentive..The food when you eat feels so light and is totally tasty the presentation was so good.. I just couldn't wait long enough to take a picture before i ate it. There were peacocks everywhere, the yoga master is amazing.. My stay was unexpectedly amazing as it was a last minute stop this time but i will come again to stay longer as it was what i needed exactly..

A special thank you to our naturalist Noel, with whom we did three wonderful tours (an incredible elephant safari, an educational and interesting trip to Lion’s Rock, and a cool hike to Pidurangala Rock). Noel constantly went above the call of duty and is a massive asset to the hotel. A special word of thanks also to our attentive and punctual porter, Sasika, who took great care of us. This was our 4th visit to Wild Grass and once more it didn't disappoint. Loved everything! Wild Grass is absolutely stunning and so peaceful. The villas are very modern but sympathetic to the surroundings and so spacious. AC was very efficient. And the bathroom!!! Loved it, especially the outdoor shower. Since our last visit some of the villas now have pools overlooking the lake. I'm so glad we decided to go with one of these rooms. The staff and Mr Nimal all went out of their way to be helpful.

I didn’t come to Sigiriya to explore the town itself, but...

I didn’t come to Sigiriya to explore the town itself, but purely for the iconic Sigiriya Rock—and it was absolutely worth it. The experience was incredible, with stunning views from the top. My friends and I climbed up for sunrise, which I highly recommend as the best time to go. Just be prepared: there are a lot of stairs—some carved directly into the rock, others metal and uneven. We visited in November just after the monsoon, so it was warm and the climb had us sweating buckets. If you plan on taking those perfect social-media photos, bring a spare T-shirt… or do what I did and let AI handle the magic! Although the ascent was tough and left us literally out of breath, the moment we reached the top made it all worth it. The views were truly breathtaking—quite fitting, since the climb already took my breath away.

A beautiful place on earth that there are lots of 360 degree...

A beautiful place on earth that there are lots of 360 degree view points. But if it rains it will ruin your plans. So make sure you depend on weatherly and visit Matale when it shows many continuous sunny days. Even on cloudy forecasts do not visit as all mointain tops then will be covered and you will not see the sights. when it is humid leaches also will be active and will become a painful experience.

Lions rock is great, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lions rock is great, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed for two nights in the end as we got to sigiriya late. This meant we ate dinner one night at the little hut which wass great, climbed the rock, then moved on to the habarana which was also interesting to wander and eat.

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from...

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from Adam's Peak!) but instead chose the much shorter Pidurangala which afforded a fabulous view of Sigiriya. Highly recommended. A visit to the Bawa hotel, Heritance Kandalama, is well worth it as an insight into the brilliant architectural mind of Geoffrey Bawa.

Mainly there are 10-12 attractions in Matale. As I just stayed one day which was not sufficient to visit all the places. Among them where I went were also hampered due to the rain at time to time. Generally Matele was quit good tourist destination if it is planned well with couple of days.

The weather is very calm.

The weather is very calm. Recommended time to start climb is 5.45 AM. So worthy to watch the surroundings from top of the Sigiriya. You can learn a lot about Sigiriya. You can get a guide if you want from the entrance.

Dambulla is an excellent base for exploring Kandy,...

Dambulla is an excellent base for exploring Kandy, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. We stayed there for 4 Nights and could cover the heritage sites easily. Dambulla Caves are a must-see and so is Sigiriya (just 16 Kms. away). Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa are around an hours drive but Dambulla is much well-connected and less touristy.
