A wonderful place - spotlessly clean, beautifully landscaped with lovely plants. Spacious, comfortable room - plenty of hot water for showers, good wifi and a wide terrace. Chairs and loungers around the pool and in the garden, which also has hammocks. Lounge area in the dining room looks out into the gardens - all very peaceful. The food was classic Sri Lankan - breakfast was huge and very tasty, the rice and curry was excellent - 12+ delicious small veg dishes with rice and poppadoms to accompany the curry, or there were alternative dishes along with desserts and fresh juices. Staff were really lovely, helpful and good to talk to. Some way out of town, but such a nice place we didn't want to move, and when we needed it was easy to get TukTuk to the archaeological sites, train station etc.

Overall, I had a wonderful stay with my family, and it was an amazing experience. The full area was very calm and we were so relaxed. I was surprised really about your property and how amazing place that it was located. That made my day, honestly. I had visited your city several times and stayed in numerous hotels within your property range, but I could not find another property that gave us with the services you did. The check-in process went smoothly, and the staff were nice and accommodating. My room was very clean and comfortable. The food was delicious, and everything was really clean. The food quality was so good. Some dishes were excellent. The breakfast options were extremely good, and we had, like, enjoyed a lot. I mean, everything was better than we expected in a good way. I appreciate your efforts in making our stay enjoyable, and I hope this feedback will help you improve your services. Seyara felt like a home away from home from the moment we arrived. The owner of Seyara is funny and kind, and he helped us arrange activities and solve the challenges we had during our stay. We were 8 people, kids and adults travelling together, and Seyara Holiday Resort was everybody's absolute favourite stay in Sri Lanka. The staff where all amazing and helpful, food was delicious, the rooms were very comfortable and the pool was perfect with lots of wildlife inside the garden surrounding the pool.The owner arranged for us to rent bikes that easily took us to the most beautiful places. We strongly recommend this resort, and we can't wait to come back.

we felt very welcomed every day the table for us was placed in the garden; always fresh flowers the hotel has an interesting architectural concept with imitation of local ruins style: dark terracotta bricks, moon stones... very calm atmosphere, even with events there were no noise at all we were very exited to see Sri Lankan wedding in the hotel, all that beautiful guests like a bunch of colourful flowers. I was totally amused seeing bride invitation Kandyan dance, thanks to the hotel team who kindly invited us to see it, I appreciate it a lot the place is well managed; Mr Buwa is very professional and reliable manager, we felt cared about

We have been there in the hotel in December 2019 first and it was not a question that we will return to the Ekho Lake House once again. We spent five days there and among them two at the Queen Elizabeth II Royal Suite following we received a nice upgrade from the staff. The best hotel in Polonnaruwa, near to the archeological sites and the lake view is fantastic. The staff is outstanding, thanks once again for your hard work.

We really enjoyed this place. The view is amazing and all the staff was very, very nice and helpfull. The receptionist helped us with all the trips and transfers. A big plus is that you can take the buffet meal, with all kind of local and international food. And the monkeys...that is a real experience to wake up with the monkeys in your balcony :-) We even had a local wedding, very interesting for us! Thank you guys!

Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining.

Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining. At the last stop in Polonnaruwa where you have the temple there was a young man sketching and painting. There was also an older gentleman selling Neem & Jamun tree wood containers and tumblers for keeping water in the night and drinking in the morning Neem for better all over health & Jamun for decreasing blood sugar.

Amazing, smaller national park.

Amazing, smaller national park. More of a wild, intimate experience than it's massively over subscribed cousins. We were in very close contact with a family of elephants, (including baby) for at least 20 mins before another jeep arrived, and then it was only just the two vehicles.

This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the...

This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the resort than in Polonnaruwa. A guest could stay here for many days as the ground are huge and relaxing. Pool and spa are kept spotless by a dedicated person that has been doing ot proudly for over 21 years.

The ancient city of Polonnaruwa has a lot to offer to the tourists who want to know about the history of Sri Lanka. It has so many ruins and monuments to view, and especially marvel at the stone crafting abilities of ancient Sri Lankans who have created so many buddhist states and artistic monuments by using rocks. Definitely a trip to add to your bucket list.

Lovely national park, clean, quiet compared to other parks...

Lovely national park, clean, quiet compared to other parks in Sri Lanka. Fairly priced entrance fee, guide joins you on the jeep, but optional to tip them. Ours was superb and pointed out many things we would have missed otherwise.

The ancient ruins are a wonder to visit.

The ancient ruins are a wonder to visit. Some great knowledgeable guides available. A few crooks about aggressively selling their Tuk Tuk and bicycle hire to be beware of. Our guide was sadly threatened and intimidated by these bullysome men.
