This is the cleanest and most comfortable place I have ever stayed in Morocco, it is very cheap and clean, it is independent and one room to oneself, it is really better than other even expensive hotels I have stayed in Morocco. I was greeted by a boss with a big beard and a little fat. I could not speak English, but we used a translator throughout the whole process and even I made gestures with my hands and feet. He could understand my meaning

The staffs were very friendly especially Fatima and Salim.Fatima gave us all the informations that we needed,she is really nice.My son had a temperature so when I told salim he got me paracetamol.Both of them they speak good English.The room and the view was beautiful .

1) arrival and departure: When you say in a Riad, which is always inside a Medina ( old , walled city), your car will never take you to your stay. You invariably park in a parking lot outside or a town centre and are escorted to your Riad. Lina Ryad did fabulously on this. We kept them updated about our arrival time. Their team received us in the town square and helped us and our luggage reach the Riad. Riads do not have elevators and they helped us with our bags to our floors. The same process was repeated on our check out : bags to the lobby and then to our car 2) Extremely warm, supportive staff with greta communication skills. We had no difficulty at all communicating with them. We were received efficiently, welcomed with a traditional Mint tea and all information. It was super easy to check in and settle down 3) All Roads serve you breakfast. Lina Ryad did great with breakfast to order, 24 hour coffee machine , morning hot coffee and milk. Lunch and dinner were to order. We had one dinner there and that was great. Mix of Moroccan and Italian food 4) The facility itself is beautiful and wonderfully kept. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen and towers were clean. Basics like shower supplies, hair drier, iron, A/C were in place and worked well 5) you could book time for a private time in the heated pool and that was great. We did not use the spa though 6) Lina Ryad was exactly what our research showed we would get and was way more in terms of service quality 7) The location is great.. 5 minute walk to the town centre and in a very peaceful place

We had an absolutely exceptional stay at Dar Wadada, a place full of soul and character perched high above the blue city of Chefchaouen. Far from mass tourism and noise, we found here a home — not a hotel — where you’re welcomed as friends, not guests. Rachid, the owner, is a true one-man show. Warm, attentive, charismatic, always there without ever being intrusive. His presence is felt through every detail, and his team is just as amazing — professional, kind, yet almost invisible. The setting is pure magic: lush greenery, fruit trees, goats, cows, birds, a friendly dog, a curious cat… and a peaceful mountain silence that grounds you instantly. In April, nature is in full bloom — it’s breathtaking. And above all, there’s no need to overthink anything here. Just come as you are, stay simple, and go with the flow. That’s the spirit of Dar Wadada. Thank you Rachid for this unforgettable moment with my wife. We left recharged, lighter, and already dreaming of coming back. If you’re looking for a place rooted in authenticity, connection, and calm — this is it.

Our visit to the Hotel Dar Medisiana exceeded our expectations in many respects. The hotel itself is well located in the middle of the medina. When we arrived, we were greeted with tea and cookies by a friendly receptionist. While we waited, we noticed how beautifully decorated the hotel was. Everything seemed to be color-coordinated in the bright atrium that forms the center of the hotel. A place has been created here with dedication and great attention to detail, where visitors immediately feel at home. Our room was also tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. It had air conditioning, a fridge and even a kettle. We also really liked the roof terrace, from which you have a spectacular view over Chefchaouen. One thing we would like to emphasize positively is the overall service, starting with breakfast. It was absolutely delicious and another highlight. We were served a variety of fresh Moroccan dishes. All the staff were very friendly throughout our stay and went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back.

The Blue City was frantic and filled with tourists not...

The Blue City was frantic and filled with tourists not really interested in the Medina, i don't know how the vendors made any money, it was too crowded to stop and shop. This endless stream of overdressed self-absorbed visitors (influencers) posing for Instagram is out of control; Every place that gets on the tourist map has this plague. Parking options in the town are very limited, beware of being directed to a bad spot by parking assistants. I would not go back.

I've dreamt about visting Chefchaouen for decades. So despite the one and two-day trips so many guidebooks recommend, I stayed for 5 days to try to get a better sense of this magical place. It was well wworth it

Chefchaouen is an amazing historic city.

Chefchaouen is an amazing historic city. So much to see and do. Spend the morning on a hike and come back for the market and a tagine. I would like to have had a beer but I survived, lol. Our guide Abdul was a beautiful human being. He enriched our trip so much. His deep explanation of Ramadan was an inspiration. The solidarity with all people and the egalitarian aspects were something that I had not formerly considered. It is a bonding with all of humanity. Abdul showed us the secret spots of this ancient city and I am better for it.
