I came to Fes having no accommodation & plans and found that place right in the medina. Located just by the main street, great price and high level of all essential facilities: spacious, clean room with an air conditioner, private bathroom, lovely terrace on top of the roof, delicious breakfast and very friendly host. 10/10

Staying at Riad Jnane Fes Medina & Luxury Palace was one of the highlights of my trip to fez. The riad itself is stunning , a perfect blend of traditional Moroccan charm and modern comfort. But what made the stay truly special was the staff. Kenza welcomed us with the warmest smile and made me feel at home immediatly. Mostapha was equally wonderful --always attentive , and ready to help with anything i needed ,from directions to recommandations. Thanks to them, my time in fez felt effortless and memorable. Highly recommend this riad to anyone visiting the city.

Our stay at Riad Serendipity was simply wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Sebastian, Nazha, and Selma were incredibly kind and welcoming — their hospitality made all the difference. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and full of local flavors. A special thanks to Nazha Selma and Sebastian who took such great care of us and made every moment special. The riad has such a warm, familiar atmosphere, and the price–value ratio is excellent. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended! + thank you to Adil who gave us a spin!

Beautiful Riad. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable room, with the riad’s sitting and dining area great to relax in. Sometimes with a mint tea after our exploring! We also used the roof a lot - had a couple of days when we did a little less sight seeing and prioritised reading and resting on the roof. Riad Jamai is situated near the edge of the medina so making it easy both to explore the medina fully by foot, and also if you want to use the Petit Taxi it’s easy to get a taxi from or to other gates. Don’t miss the bustling local streets - the Andalusian Mosque and Tanneries are close by, and the shops and stalls have a different feel near the riad (fewer tourists). Further in, we enjoyed the Nejjarine wood crafts museum and the Al-Atterine Madrassa in the old town - as well as specific souks (such as the henna souk). Also a little further out but still quite local are the Marinid tombs. We organised 2 trips out through Riad Jamai (Volubilis/Meknes; Mid Atlas) which was a lovely way to explore. Recommend also a trip to the new town (we tried a hammam) and if you are interested in the working equids of Fes the American Fondouk (veterinary care for donkeys, mules and horses) is open to the public 8-12 on weekdays, is a short taxi drive away, and is also near the Jewish Quarter - which was well worth the visit. V We found Riad Jamai a friendly, helpful and very beautiful spot to do so much exploring from with great breakfasts and when we wanted to eat in that was wonderful too. I was with my mum and we were visiting my niece - the final night we had my niece and some of her friends over and we had a great meal there on our last night.

Palais Medina and Spa is a top-notch hotel that is perfect for those who want to experience the beautiful city of Fez. The highlight of the hotel is the amazing terrace overlooking the beautiful medina of Fez, which is a great spot to relax with a cup of coffee while taking in the breathtaking views. The room is modern and clean with all the necessary amenities, including a bathtub in the toilet, which is a great touch. It is evident that the hotel management takes cleanliness seriously, and the rooms are immaculately cleaned every day. Another notable feature of the hotel is its proximity to a large shopping mall and McDonald's, which is perfect for those who want to explore the modern side of Fez. It is also convenient for those who want to grab a quick meal or do some shopping. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and they assisted us with arranging a taxi service to the CTM bus station of Fez, which saved us a lot of trouble. The staff was always available to answer our questions and ensured that we had a comfortable stay. In conclusion, Palais Medina and Spa is recommended for travellers looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Fez. The beautiful terrace, modern rooms, proximity to shopping malls and great service from the staff make it a great choice for anyone visiting Fez.

I had a wonderful time at Hotel Menzeh Zalagh and I am very grateful for my stay there. Both of the rooms in which I stayed were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The beds were super comfortable and the mini fridge was unbelievably convenient. Each room also had a balcony with a beautiful view - this was a really nice touch and allowed me to soak up the atmosphere and relax. The rooms also had a desk which I personally found really helpful to use when going through emails and doing my skincare. I also really enjoyed the food that I had in the hotel. The breakfast selection is varied with a mixture of hot and cold items. There are also pastries and a coffee machine. The hotel Pizzeria restaurant was my preferred go to for my evening meals and I would absolutely recommend the steak dish - it was so so so good and I wish I could have some right now! Finally, I have to give a special mention to the staff of this hotel who made me feel so welcomed and looked after. I met multiple staff members during my stay and all of them were so kind and helpful. It was reassuring to know that I had someone to call upon if I needed help. This is a really nice hotel and it is one that I would love to visit again whether on my own or with my family.

The architecture is spectacular, the service is excellent and very kind. I loved the design of the suite with a very traditional and luxurious palatial style. This historical palace is a masterpiece blending very elegantly luxury with traditions. Everything was impeccably clean and the bathroom is very luxurious. The restaurant is absolutely delightful. It was the best Moroccan cuisine I ever tasted in a very romantic atmosphere. The spa and pools are magnificent. The spa is spectacular and the massage was impeccable. I understand why all these rockstars and billionaires all choose to stay in this palace. The location is ideal in the best area of the Medina with stunning 360 views from the rooftop. There is a direct access to the door by car which is very rare. I cannot wait to be back !

The breakfast is excellent, as you would expect from a 5 star hotel, but what made Hotel Sahrai stand out for us was their human side. Mrs. Semira applied a traditional remedy to our 8-year-old daughter with a fever. After which she kissed her on the forehead. My wife and I will be forever grateful. And of course, the General Manager, Mrs. Lamiaâ Boujnini, who organized a wonderful in-room dinner for us and took on a difficult assignment I asked for some handmade leather goods. We couldn't leave the hotel but they made everything easy and comfortable for us. Thank you.

The decor and furniture inside the riad are unbelievable. Everywhere you went it was visually amazing. The Medina is the big draw here and one could spend a whole day just wandering amongst the many alleyways and shops taking in the atmosphere, sights and sounds. That said there is a lot of repetitive tourist tat and fruit\meat stalls. I was disappointed by the tannery, not much work going on outside (supposedly now all done inside) though there was hardly any smell. Surprisingly we were not hassled too much by any shop owner and haggling for a lower price was not aggressive. One day is enough in Fes and add another day for a trip out to Volubilis and you're done IMHO. We stayed 3 days in all and this was more than enough.

The best of Fez, Morocco's artisan city, includes exploring the ancient, car-free medina to witness skilled artisans at work in traditional souks, visiting the famous Chouara Tannery to see leather goods production, and experiencing crafts like pottery, metalwork, and weaving. Visitors can also immerse themselves in local crafts through hands-on workshops or by shopping for unique, handmade goods, such as rugs, oils and spices at women-only cooperatives. The local food is great and also the cafe' and music concerts. I attended the Fez Festival of Sufi Culture and World Spirituality, an unforgettable, rich experience.
