I was in this hotel for the second time. When you come to Nepal for trekking, normally you fly to Kathmandu. Here you can buy clothes and gear for the trek. This hotel is in central location in Thamel, where are the shops and restaurants as well. Only good things to say about the hotel; rooms, WiFi, breakfast and staff are excellent. There is even a scale in the reception to weigh your bags and yourself, too !

The hotel was in a fantastic location close to all the main sites in Thamel such as Mandala road. The rooms are clean and the beds were very comfy. The AC was strong too which is important! The staff were fantastic and could not be more helpful. Overall, for the price/quality ratio this place is perfect!

Very friendly an helpful staff, checking on you constantly, wanting to know if everything was ok. Room was comfortable, clean, I had to wait for a hot water to come for a while, but it always did. Breakfast was good, plenty of choises. The area felt safe.

I decided to stay here for my last night in Nepal on this trip. I've been to Kathmandu many times and was unaware of this hotel until this trip. The history is interesting and the grounds amazing in such a busy city. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room design was a lovely mix of heritage and modernity - very comfortable. The breakfast definitely had the best choice I've had in Kathmandu. I opted to dine in the Spice Room and was impressed with the menu options. I would have liked to try The Chimney restaurant too, especially for the historical borsch.

The hotel is very active in environmental friendly solutions like providing free refills for your water bottles and separating waste inside the guest rooms with 2 different bins. Vibrant city - great boat trip to the Stupa, with a 1 hour steep climb rewarded with great views. Recommend Camelia Cafe for gentle relaxing vibe, good food and great service. Boomerang cafe has lovely garden seating with views of the lake, and Nepali traditional dancing at night. Try to get to a sunrise viewpoint about 30 mins taxi ride above the city.

We spent two nights here in a beautiful setting – highly recommended to everyone! Everything was clean, peaceful, and calm. Despite our delay, the owner waited for us until midnight, helped us with the check-in, and arranged everything we needed for the trek and our visit to the national park. It's been ages since I was in Kathmandu and I hear it's...

It's been ages since I was in Kathmandu and I hear it's gotten busier. Bhaktapur is a laid back option--lots of history and lots of local life at the same time. It's a walking town for travellers and you learn how to instinctively avoid the scooters. Pretty much every building has a rooftop Cafe of some sort and the views are spectacular. There's a little hustle from guides for hire in Durbar Square but they're pretty knowledgeable and the hustle is very gentle. If you're not interested, you can politely refuse and that will be the end of it. Given a choice, I'd pick Bhaktapur over Kathmandu as a place to hang out.

Value for money ,service oriented , the Bhutanese delicacy was amazing , very traditional and authentic touch. Front office team was amazing and always helpful and welcoming. The room was beautiful, spacious and all amenities placed tightly. The location is perfect close to Boudha stupa just walking distance and very peaceful and serene. Security staff very welcoming and professional. Very eager to come back to this property , I would highly recommend this hotel .

People in Kathmandu are friendly and helpful. The weather was fair for this time of year. A lot to see and take in. Shopping, eating all the very delicious Mo Mo soaking in Jhol. All the Temples, Shrines, breathtaking mountains views, and of course Mount Everest.
