Clean, spacious, courteous staff, excellent breakfast options, superb massage in the spa from Yaya, and good help from the concierge on trips and transport. Less than a 10-minute walk to the Mola Mola Dive Centre. I appreciated the super-early check-in after my long, sleepless journey, and the birthday cake was a lovely surprise. The hotel manager was very attentive to my initial complaints about external noise and moved me to a quieter room, taking care to ask me afterwards if I was OK, and also kindly organising a discount on a massage for me. He also spoke with Al Mouj management regarding an outdoor fitness class that was held at 08:30 am for only three people, where loudspeakers and loud music broadcast the whole class at a ridiculously loud volume for an hour. Hopefully, now the Al Mouj management realise that waking up 100s of hotel guests for the sake of three people in a fitness class is no longer necessary!

We spend one month last year at Al Falaj Hotel. We come back this year for a second month and it was really perfect, as in 2024. Al Falaj is a hight quality hotel : room, bedding, property, room service, INTERNET connection for working. location, meals, quietness... etc. The hearth of Al Falaj is his staff : since 2025, we know now several employees and they are really nice, as in fact the people of Oman : staff at reception (James...), staff for meals (Austin, chief "Pondichery", miss Lon Tine or Beth, or Anu or Umar). We cannot have a mention for all of them but they are always caring. We have regularly stays in same level hotels, in other countries, and, with this experiment, Al Falaj is really the best. For us it was a particular month.

The remarkable staff add an extra star! Great big "Thank you" to the manager Mr Jusup for making my stay comfortable, to Honey, Hamed at reception (sorry for forgetting the other names) for all your help, to Housekeeping for keeping me clean and tidy every day, to Tito and Sudhil at the Shisha bar for the nice coffees and tasty juices! The hotel is right in the centre of things. All you need is either on the same street or a few minutes' walk away...and it will be quite challenging to choose from the many restaurants around.

I was surprised to open the door and find I had a kitchen in my room! The room was huge! I only stayed for one-night, but slept well enough. It took approx. 20 minutes to get to the airport, which the hotel arranged for me. VERY HELPFUL! Front desk staff were very friendly. I would stay again.

I was pleasantly surprised how nice Muscat is!

I was pleasantly surprised how nice Muscat is! The roads are not extremely busy, it has a diverse scenery (mountain, beach, tourist attractions, etc). The taxi drivers I hired were all nice and friendly. it's nice to arrive to a country and be met with friendliness and welcoming gestures. I hope to come back again one of these days.

First day couldn't find a place to have breakfast in and we ended up searching for a mall and eventually having sandwiches at Starbucks No facilities for fun or family activities No decent restaurant but at malls and mostly expensive No facilities on beaches and the one in the most expensive compound Almouj is a clean beach but no showers or changing rooms or lounges

PERFECT EXPERIENCE ... will stay again First of all Mohamed property owner is the nicest person I have met, he picked me from airport and dropped me at the airport. from the time of booking he gets in touch with me on whatsapp. Property is 5 mins drive from airport best location possible. Room very clean, nice and tidy, had everything in it required for nice stay. I would recommend 100% this property and especially Mohamed. I will definitely stay again if I get chance. thanks. Everything was good. NO issues at all. very good communication.

Very impressed with our first visit to Muscat and Oman.

Very impressed with our first visit to Muscat and Oman. Good hotels at good value and great food at great value. We rented a car from NAB rentacar which was delivered to the hotel. Didn't use taxis. Bought a SIM card from Omantel at the airport for use with our portable wi-fi router so we could navigate around ourselves. If you want a spectacular world class, 4x4 low range track up to Jebel Shams get the gps track from Wikiloc - Rustaq to Shams. Not for the fainthearted! Our Mitsubishi Montero Sport on worn factory tyres managed easily.

1) All the staff were most helpfull, however the language barrier caused a minor hic-cup with the room service when ordering from the menu in my room. Staff took it upon themselves to ad-lib with food subsitutions from the set breakfast menu, without informing the customers. It was eventually sorted out. 2) The water pressure in the shower was very low, could do with improvement. 3) The swimming pool was not available for use untill May 2024. Other than those 3 issues the hotel represents value for money. I would stay again, but make sure the swimming pool was available for use.

Muscat is more authentic than places like Dubai and Qatar, and a lot more laid back. It isn't expensive (its a lot cheaper than Dubai) and there is a lot to do. The main mosque is very impressive and the day trips to the islands for snorkelling are good. The main souq is also very good

Seeb is far away (over 20 km) from city center.

Seeb is far away (over 20 km) from city center. Nothing to see there. So not many tourists there. But it is developing. Quiet long beach but no infrastructure. You need car to get to the center! There is a lively street food market in the night where you can get great food for low price.
