As a guest who has visited all four and five star hotels in Makati during many stays in Manila, I have to say that in my opinion the Sommerset central stands out among these good hotels. Of course, every rating depends on personal preferences, but I particularly like this hotel too because of the friendliness of the staff. In general, employees in the Philippines try far more to be helpful than in many other countries. but in the summer set Central they are slightly surpassed

The room was exceptional (bathroom with external window), fantastic views of BGC, Makati and Manila Bay with sunset, all the facilities (swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gym etc.) are at the top. Food choice and quality for breakfast was incredible and unique. A special thanks to Jose from the front desk. A six star hotel!

1. Beds were big. 2. Real slippers were provided. 3. Our room has a bath tub which we did not expect. 4. Basic toiletries were provided. 5. Our room is spacious. 6. There is free breakfast. Although the choices are limited, I can't complain because I only added PhP250 to include breakfast for three persons. Eating breakfast outside would likely cost us around 450 pesos each. 7. Location is very ideal as it is in front of SM North. It is very accessible. 9. Internet connection is okay.

The place is perfect if you have a flight to catch. You can get a car on Grab which will take you to the airport in 15mins. We had to use this hotel since we had few flights to and from Manilla. Its very handy and cheap as well. Dont expect any luxury since its not a fancy hotel.

Filthy, overcrowded, pan handlers approaching cars with infants at stoplights. Constant traffic back ups, Even the capital area is poorly maintained. If you like going to mega malls, I suppose this is a good place. The disparity between wealthy people and the poor is on constant display. Heavily armed security guards everywhere, bomb checks on every vehicle stopping at the hotel. The worst of all of the nearby huge cities in Asia. I went to Manila for work, I would never go there otherwise. As the capital of a nation the place was a disgrace.

For people who are used to living in cities, I highly recommend the Malate district of Manila. You can see the vibrant energy of the people there, and the food ranges from high-end to street food. It's often said to be a dangerous city, but I didn't feel particularly scared during my trip there. You can sense the dangerous areas by the atmosphere. And Filipinos are very kind, always greeting you with a smile. It's fun just to watch them. It's a great country.
