Each meal was more than just tasty; it was a feast for the senses, especially with the picturesque backdrop of Shark Bay enhancing our dining experience. While snorkeling in front of the resort, we were struck by the changes in the underwater world. The once vibrant coral reefs showed signs of environmental impact, with many corals not as lively as they used to be. Despite this, we were fortunate to see a variety of fish, some sharks, and even some turtles, which was a memorable part of our adventure. Our diving course, led by the skilled and reassuring instructor Neo, was a highlight. We felt safe and well taken care of, making our diving experience enjoyable and stress-free. The room service at the resort deserves high praise. On days when we were too tired to dine out, the quality and promptness of the service made our in-room dining just as special as eating at the restaurant. The reception staff were incredible, efficiently taking care of our needs with a level of service that made us feel like they could almost read our minds. And the massages – they were heavenly. The house was stunning with fantastic view, dream place to be honest! Beds was comfortable and well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms was large and aircondition was very efficient. The fridge was already stocked with butter, egg, bread, vine, soda and water that you could buy each day, which they refilled. Lots of menus in the house that delivered fairly quickly for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so one didn’t have to go anywhere if you didn’t want to. Lounge areas in our house was so amazing and we sat there every night and just enjoyed the place and the view. Pool was great size too for us 4 and excellent wifi. It’s possible to snorkle in the sea, as there is three sun decks, if you walk down the steep roads and stairs - good work out as our house was one of the top ones (C2 - but can really recommend this house!!). People working there was also so amazing and kind, we felt like home! Last, but not least, the driver we had was so nice! We got several tips to what to do and he made every drive we went on just an lovely experience - amazing guy and a awesome driver (which that place needs as it’s steep roads). Koh Tao is still one of the few raw escapes in Thailand in my opinion, its divers and back packers heaven. However as a father with 2 kids in my forties i absolutely loved it. If you step away from the busy areas and off the beaten track you can find amazing coves and hiden gems still. The tourism all over the world has killed so much of our wildlife and reefs.
