Beautiful hotel with amazing staff that spoke good English. The rooms were beautiful and cleaned every day the views were great especially from the rooftop pool could even see big Buddha in the distance from our balcony. Not far to walk to Karon but far enough away from the hustle and bustle.

Everything was beautiful and taken care of in the smallest details. The staff was very attentive and well-prepared. Everyone was very good, but one young woman named Miss Vee, restaurant service attendant, stood out for her skill, talent, kindness, and abilities. During our stay at the Veranda Resort, we always had lunch and dinner at the restaurant thanks to the good cuisine but also thanks to the great professionalism and empathy of Miss Vee. We really felt great here.

Idyllic Island of International Fame

Thailand’s largest island, Phuket has a mountainous landscape leading down to lush, green palms, warm, turquoise seas and soft, golden sands. Patong is its most developed resort and is well known for outrageous nightlife. There are lots of clubs, bars and restaurants in the main town and it also has a fantastic beach lined with hotels and resorts.

To the south is Karon, home to the 2nd largest beach and offshore coral reefs that are good for snorkelling. Quieter Kamala also has coral reefs and good surfing conditions, as do the curved beaches at Kata.

The island’s airport is in the north and there are lots of Phuket hotels near the airport in Mai Khao and Nai Yang, where sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. In Bangtao to the south there is a great range of Phuket hotels with private pools on Booking.com, while around the corner in exclusive Surin there are often typical Thai long boats bobbing up and down in the rolling waves.

On the other side of the island Chalong has an impressive Buddhist temple and is a popular spot for kitesurfing. Neighbouring Panwa has shallow water coral and the Phuket Aquarium to explore. The Phi Phi islands are off Phuket’s eastern shores and their idyllic scenery makes wonderful day trips.

I came to this seaside resort hotel for a vacation and was absolutely amazed by how well-organized and kind the staff were — so warm, helpful, and caring. Let me share a few examples. I arrived at 10:00 in the morning, and they gave me my room right away at 10:30, without making me wait until the official check-in time. When I was leaving, my flight was quite late, and I simply asked if I could stay in the room until 5:00 p.m. They kindly agreed — no problem, no extra charge. The housekeeping staff came twice a day to clean the room and refresh everything. I had bought some plants in Thailand and asked them if they could give me some newspaper to wrap them for travel. They immediately responded — one of the staff members even took photos of my plants, went away, and came back with the right amount of special flower wrapping paper, tape, and scissors. She was even ready to help me pack them herself. The food was wonderful, the beach was very clean and well-kept, and the greenery was just breathtaking. The golf carts were available at any moment, taking guests around the hotel countless times a day. There was also free water and land transportation around the area, running every 20 minutes. I’m so satisfied and impressed that I will definitely come back to this hotel next time. I also booked a tour to the Phi Phi Islands through the hotel — it was safe, well-organized, and full of great experiences. In short, every little detail was thought through to make the guest’s stay both convenient and enjoyable.

Excellent stay. Friendly staff at the resort, restaurant and shop. There in the low season and exceptional rates. Great food reasonably priced at the restaurant. Good selection of food and other requirements at the shop. The accommodation is on a hilly site but as an aged person (82) still comfortably managed to get around. Close to Naiharn beach proper (5 minutes' walk) Pool was a bonus. Have stayed at a number of Phuket accommodation in Karon and Kata - On the Rocks takes the prize. Will definitely be back.

The hotel is absolutely stunning and nestled in the mountain cliff area away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket, which worked for us. The staff were so attentive and very friendly. The room is also beautifully decorated and very spacious. The bathroom and dressing area is very large! The food was fantastic, the Thai restaurant is a must, and we did the cooking class, which is an amazing experience. They also gave us a goody bag, which was such a lovely touch. Overall 10/10 experience.

I loved everything... The service at the entrance, the room is perfect and large, the pool is very large, there is a bar at the pool, the hotel is really clean and central, the dining room is in a restaurant right in front of the beach, the hotel is located a second from the sea, the hotel is in a really quiet and special area, this is one of the hotels that surprised me in a good way, the hotel nice staff is really lovely, I have no complaints.

Excellent as a location and general services and facilities however, generally the area is not clean. streets need more care and cleanness. people although mostly tend to exploit but in general are friendly.

The hotel is in a great location on top of the old town and...

The hotel is in a great location on top of the old town and seconds from great shops, coffee bars and a vast range of venues. It is an excellent value place to stay if you want to be in the centre. The old town is great for the Sunday walking street and has everything to offer. A selection of different music artists, brilliant choice of street food and lots to spend your money on. Thoroughly recommend.

Kata was nicer than Patong - less night life, We didnt enjoy the beaches the amount of rubbish in the sand and water is very sad- not just Kata we found the all the Phuket beaches the same, very sad or maybe we are very lucky in NZ to have beautiful rubbish free beaches

Sun (the manager) and his amazing team treat you like family instantly and you honestly feel that the hotel is your Thai home. My family and I will never forget the wonderful facilities, food and warm feeling we received from everybody at the Pacific Club. My sons wanted me to mention Ron and Joso who made their stay by always stopping for a chat. I could not recommend to a family a better hotel in Phuket. Each evening you can ask reception to organise a tuk tuk to take you to Karon main strip for a couple of pound and on a Tuesday and Friday there is a fantastic night market at the temple. Well worth checking out. The best places to eat (apart from thd lovely menu at the hotel) are the tiny restaurants down the side streets. The ones with 2 or 3 tables and plastic chairs where you can see the chef. We ate some of the best food of our lives for unbelievable prices. Leaving a tip in these places goes a long way!

Quiet beach where you can take boat trips and go horseback riding. Close to restaurants, cafes, cheap clothing stalls, massage and a couple of 7/11's. Great area if you want to have a quiet escape with a book or just "me" time. No malls, no hustle & bustle, no hard sell. A stunning sun-set!

Kamala beach is a quieter option of Phuket. It is a lovely beach with lots to do and plenty of places to eat. A lot of the trips have other solo travellers and the staff are helpful by taking photos of you if you like. It’s easy to get around in Kamala beach as it is fairly central. I lived the restaurants on the seafront Bella Vista was one of my favourites for breakfast and lunch but didn’t find a favourite for dinner.

Room for improvement to be clean and well organised to manage shops, restaurants, and massages to welcome tourists from around the world. Now is dirty not only because of trash from the waves but also on the beach with all shops - does not clean their own area. Recommend Bangtao Beach from the middle up towards the north to Layan Beach.

Friendly Thai people, peaceful environment, and a great location near the new township and Nai Harn Beach—much nicer than the usual Patong area. Plenty of halal food and convenience stores nearby. A perfect healing spot.

It was a very refreshing stay in the property which was full of greenery and good views of beach from the huge balcony attached to the suite. Did not want to leave the property so early and definitely want to come back again.

Recommendation for restaurants = "My Front Yard" is a new location with several different types of restaurants. Ate at three of them and the food and service was excellent. Recommend "Home Sweet Home" as the close by go to coffee shop.
