NorwayVery cosy nice little hotel in La Marsa, about 5 minutes walk to the centre/train station and the beach/sea. I also walked up to Sidi bou said within 30 -40 minutes. Very helpful and friendly staff, and a nice garden. Good value for money.

Taieb is a marvelous host. Not only he helped us arranging daytrips to Cartage and Thugga, he gave us immediately the feeling of being at home in Dar Ennassim. Having an every day variating breakfast with coffee, thee, fresh juice, homemade sweets, tunisian bread, french croissants and crèpes, cheeses, fruits, omelets, berber pancakes and lots of other amazing stuff, is the most wonderful way a person could start his day. The big family table in the living room where breakfast is served, invites to have a chat with other guests, sitting together in a tastfully decorated space that hides little treasures in every angle. Upon entering the family house, guests are welcomed by the smell of amber, roses and jasmine essences, spread by traditional oil burners. Every part of the house is kept very clean.
Also the rooms are lovely decorated and we were lucky to stay in the upper rooms, located on the roof terras with an outstanding view over the white washed houses of all-Marsa and its mosque. The view from my bed, when I woke up in the morning with the upcoming sun glowing over the city, is unforgettable.

Everything was great, place, breakfast/dinners, atmosphere, hosts.
Thanks to Dar Douads recommendation we used BOLT app to have fast, traceable and cheap taxi rides all over the city. Strongly recommend to use it’s service from airport which will cost around 20 dinars, not more.
There is a great shop nearby to buy really nice honey, nuts, olive oil, etc… check the name of the shop with hosts

Excellent hotel. Stayed a couple nights as a female solo traveler and I felt very safe and looked after. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and attentive. Very nice pool, very large rooms, which were quiet - I also liked the spa area.

For those seeking more options, nearby La Marsa has almost everything you could need, including a small mall just a short taxi ride away—less than 15 minutes. This is an exquisitely decorated, beautful place to stay. The room was very comfortable and the staff exceptionally helpful. It is in a quiet area away from the old city which is always incredibly busy and noisy. The pool was beautuful as was the garden. There are nice places to eat nearby and historic places to visit.

Nice area. A lot of the shops and stuff are relatively spread out. Really nice people who genuinely help you. Taxis are a bit of a pain from the airport, as they were a little expensive to what I would have thought. However you have to bargain with them a bit.

Four Seasons is a lovely place to relax with the family.
Four Seasons is a lovely place to relax with the family. I suggest a 5 day visit so one can then plan day trips to Hammamet and Djerba as well. one could also spend 3 days at four seasons hotel and then 2 nights in Hammamet if you really want to enjoy a beach.

La marsa beach was right outside our guest house.
La marsa beach was right outside our guest house. We could walk to the main part of the beach and the shops and restaurants. We were out of season, visiting during Ramadan so it was relatively quiet. Some restaurants were not open at all, some only during the day, others only at night. We managed to find somewhere to eat every day.
I can recommend the Cliff restaurant, Pasta mi Basta (very accommodating with our friend who had various intolerances), Kenko food bar and Blu Blu (Sidi Bou). There was a supermarket which catered for our needs.
We also visited the capital Tunis and Sidi Bou Said which had lovely shops and stunning views.

I highly advise not bring anything valuable to Le Palace, Unfortunately I have been subject to theft. The hotel Maintenance deliberately turns off the air compressor regularly and leaves their residents soaking in their sweat. Breakfast is more like refugee food in the 19th century. Unless you have been stranded on a deserted island, living on grass, worms and sea weed , no normal human being could eat their food.

Very clean and beautiful house. Esma and son were accommodating hosts. We were expecting a hotel rather than a B&B. Bed had partial walls on both sides with shelves so easy to bump head or body. Breakfast was the same both days—Tasty and fresh but nothing memorable. Several restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Bakery as well. Value for money seems a little expensive.
