This place is a step back in time and is amazing. The owners are the some of the nicest people you can ever hope to meet. I arrived on a Sunday during a motorcycle trip through Cape and had managed to get a puncture. It didnt take long for the owner to have the bike in their own workshop wheel off and on it way to being repaired. The hotel is actively involved in the motorcycle scene in the area was soon introduced to other who came to chat Motorcycle travel. What an awesome evening and a great sleep.

The Art Hotel is an absolute highlight for Barrydale. A sensitively restored old building, a garden with a pool and very friendly staff. The restaurant alone is worth a stay. Thanks to Derek Lowe, the Chef!

The whole venue was excellent. Accommodation was so comfortable didn’t want to leave. The restaurant is like being in a gorgeous farmhouse with delectable breakfast - superb. It would be a wonderful venue to hold a wedding.

Very central to eateries and the town. The rooms are quite sound proof. No unnecessary intrusions from staff. Was quite busy when we visited and you wouldn't have noticed. The pool was well kept and maintained. We could just drop the keys in the box when we left. The rooms have aircon which was a life saver during the December heatwaves.
