Everything here is perfect, it was quite possibly the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka and that includes places like the Heritance Kandalama which was dramatically more expensive. The property: Perfectly manicured and beautiful gardens with flowers everywhere. The building is beautiful with detailed wood finishing on all surfaces except the floor which is covered in beautiful plush carpeting which contributes to reduced noise from people walking around. All guests and staff remove their shoes and wear provided slippers around the property to ensure the floors are nice and clean. There’s also a pool table in the lobby. The room: A+ comfortable bed with down duvet, crisp sheets and more pillows than Martha Stewart would have on her bed - with a variety of thickness and firmness so anyone’s preference will be met. Super clean from top to bottom, excellent bathroom and shower with stone finishing and a jacuzzi tub which we used and it worked well. Television with Comedy Central so that made me happy at night. Clean glasses, coffee, tea, and one of the few rooms in Sri Lanka with a working refrigerator that had a small freezer for ice which was readily available from the hotel. Breakfast: We had the western and it was fantastic. I’m sure the Sri Lankan breakfast would be even better. Too much food though. Location: walking distance to the town center but far enough that it was very quiet at night and minimal tuktuk noise in the morning. Staff: attentive, kind, service oriented and professional - we have found this to be standard throughout Sri Lanka but it was even better here.

B&B Nuwara eliya está en Nuwara Eliya, a 5,3 km de Lago Gregory, y dispone de alojamiento con salón de uso común, wifi gratis y mostrador de información turística. Está lejos de la estación de Nanuoya y debes pagar 1500 rupias por trayecto de estación a casa y visceversa (3000 en total que son un poco menos de 10 euros). Para ir al centro de la ciudad hay un atajo muy fácil y rápido, pero devolverte cuesta un poco, así que pagas 300 rupias y los tuk tuk te suben. La habitación estaba muy confortable, cobijas y colchón cómodo y calientito. No pasamos nada de frío y hasta pudimos disfrutar la terraza y sus vistas con un delicioso té que nos prepararon a nuestra llegada. El desayuno es muy rico y generoso, tan generoso que solo pagamos 1 para dos y fue más que suficiente, recomiendo altamente desayunar aquí (se paga por aparte 4 euros más tax) lo cual me parece muy bien para las cantidades y lo delicioso que está. Recomiendo altamente este lugar y Newara Eliya me parece muy estratégico para hacer un día y descansar de los trayectos tan largos de tren.

Princess of Dickoya Homestay se encuentra en Hatton, a 43 km de Lago Gregory y a 29 km de Pico de Adán. Ofrece alojamiento con jardín y wifi gratis, además de parking privado gratis. Believe the amazing reviews of this fabulous home stay. The family helped us with all organisational aspects we needed for very reasonable prices and everything went off without a hitch, including a driver to Sri Pada and back. Service that some of the top hotels in the world can only dream of. There was an extensive food menu and everything we tried was delicious, especially the kottu! The view from the balcony was jaw dropping, we happily spent a full afternoon there relaxing. The bed was also the most comfy we stayed on during our 2 week trip. I would recommend this to anyone and would love to return some day.

The place totally exceeded our expectations for the price. Clean nice room with big bed, extra warm blankets. Fantastic bathroom with new plumbing, fully functional heater and shower cabin. The host was very friendly and helpful.

B.Rose House se encuentra en Hatton y ofrece wifi gratis, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza. There are 4 very clean, large and comfortable rooms. The rooms have everything we needed. There is a terrace with amazing views of the mountains and a very spacious living room area where we can sit, read and relax. The owners/hosts are so friendly and kind, attending to all our needs. We had dinner ordered, made by the host family. It was absolutely delicious home cooked meal. The breakfast was excellent too with strong coffee. And the WiFi was the best so far in Sri Lanka. It’s close to everything. Such a gem if you are on a budget or not.

Warm reception from Romeni and her lovely family. The chalet was cosy and comfortable and the meals- all from home grown produce- were delicious.

El Tea Hills Bungalow se encuentra en Hatton. Proporciona WiFi gratuita en las zonas comunes del chalet. Checking in is so easy. The Manager is very friendly and helpful. The manager made sure that the hotel took good care of our needs. We took dinner and breakfast and it was perfect. The hotel is very clean and spacious rooms. We will go back to the same hotel, if we visit Hatton again.
