Highly recommend Talalla Bay Beach! Thomas and his staff are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The hotel is right on the main road, but the ocean waves drown out the traffic noise. Each room faces the ocean with a balcony to enjoy views. Beach loungers are a perfect place to spend your day. Talalla beach is a special place, not overdeveloped. Great mix of locals and tourists. The far right side of the beach has calm water for swimming. Thomas is not only a welcoming host, he is an excellent cook. Do not miss enjoying his delightful dinners. We only stayed 1 night, and wish we had stayed far longer.

Mirissa Beach is a 10-minute walk away, and there is a supermarket and pharmacy about a 5-minute walk away. There are also many good restaurants within a 15-minute walk. If I come back to Mirissa, I will come here again.

Offering a spa and wellness centre, Peacock Villa is located just 600 metres from the famous Whale Watching Mirissa. Free WiFi access is available. The team made every effort to make our stay comfortable. We had a spacious room, and verything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was top notch, with a choice of Sri Lankan or waffles, both with a plate of local fruits. This was out favorite stay in Sri Lanka so far. Thank you!

My stay at Mirissa Eco Hills was exactly what I needed! Located in a tranquil sanctuary of lush green foliage, I loved falling asleep to the sounds of nature outside. I arrived to a nearby bus stop and got a tuk tuk for the short journey to the accommodation. The owner Suronge is a delightful, accommodating and thoughtful host. He showed me where to walk to reach Mirissa, which ended up being a beautiful walk through the Sri Lankan countryside, a highlight of my stay in Sri Lanka so far. It’s not far, 20 mins walk. He recommended a restaurant to get the best and cheap Roti in Mirissa. In the evening Suronge even offered to pick me up some food or drink from the town as he thought I hadn’t eaten all day. Breakfast the next day was brought to my room at a time that suited me! I had delicious veggie roti, coconut pancakes, a banana and a pot of tea. There was a lot of love and care poured into the breakfast and it tasted delicious. Suronge was so kind, accommodated my check out time and ordered me a tuk tuk for when I needed it. The spacious room had a big four poster bed and a balcony that looked out to rice paddies. I enjoyed watching life pass by from up on the balcony. The bathroom had plenty of hot water too. My only wish is that I had more nights to stay here. Don’t hesitate, book this for your tranquil country side get away immediately. You won’t regret it! The value for money is incredible.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by the kind and gracious host, Babi. She went above and beyond to make guests feel at home, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. I was given the option to choose between two rooms, which was a nice touch. The Inn is beautifully designed and very clean, from the stylish entryway to the thoughtfully renovated rooms. My room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a great AC unit, overhead and bedside lighting, a fridge and a balcony overlooking the lush jungle—a peaceful spot to unwind. The property also offers two guest kitchens and plenty of seating and lounge areas, making it easy to relax. It’s just a 10-minute walk to the surf beach, but I rented a bicycle, which made getting around even quicker and more convenient. One of the biggest highlights? The hot water and incredible water pressure—an absolute treat after a long day of surfing! I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return. Thanks, Babi, for an unforgettable experience! 🙏🏼🏝️
