Rooms were enormous, with open views of the beach and with a cedar bathtub fed by hot springs in the room.

We especially booked a room with a private outdoor shower and bath. The food was superb in every respect. There were a number of beers available and, surely, there is a taste to appeal to everyone. The staff were caring and took time to understand the hotel guests. The communal bath was nice and the outdoor areas in general were pleasant. The test of a hotel is to positively answer the question, 'would you stay here again?' Our answer is that we returned after visiting here a year ago, except this time we doubled the length of our stay.

The ryokan provides a hot spring bath and a housekeeping service. The dinner was amazing - there was a station where the staff prepares a small dish on the spot for you. The onsen was eye-opening to say the least. It is located beside a stream / forest, and it was refreshing to soak in the onsen while listening to the stream flow by.

I had the best sleep in a long time after a day of snowboarding and a hot spring (bonus: the bath house is located only a few steps away). But the best of all, the hospitality of the the entire owner family was exceptional and made the stay so special. I felt so welcomed and at home, - reminded me of when I used to visit my grandparents as a child.

We were greeted with welcome drinks in front of a fire, and led to our room by courteous but hospitable staff. Our 3-person room faced a quiet garden, and we enjoyed delicious cake and tea before being led to the dinner. There was a pair of yukata and a pair of more modern pajamas in the room, along with a warm jacket and a pair of socks for each person. There was a toilet in our entrance hall, and a sink and mirror in the room. Dinner and breakfast were both served in an independent Japanese room located in the older building, and our server conversed with us in fluent Mandarin and English. We loved the exquisitely made Japanese dinner and breakfast, every single small dish and platter of it! The two hotsprings were also delightfully pleasant. The indoors medicinal bath was small but very clean, while the outdoor bath was much more spacious. For some reason, we did not meet many people using the bath either in the evening or the morning. We opted for a shuttle bus to leave the hotel in the morning. The hotel was very helpful with answering questions and reserving shuttle service through the booking.com chat room in English. We were extremely happy with our stay, and hope to stay longer next time.
