We arrived at Hotel Jelka after hiking Stage 5 of the Juliana Trail. This is a difficult stage made more difficult by the extremely poor trail markings and the hour long deluge of rain we endured. Needless to say, we arrived at the Hotel Jelka late (5:30) and bedraggled. We were the only guests in this beautiful space. The manager told us the kitchen was closing at 6 (not sure if that is normal or due to 2 guests) so we hustled into our rooms and back down. He was very gracious in serving us. We had a delicious barley soup with meat and bread and salad. The hotel looks like new - all light wood - very Scandinavian in appearance. The beds were comfortable and the shower worked well. We had a very inviting long balcony facing the woods that every room can access. We made an early start the next day for Stage 6 and breakfast was not until 7:30 so the manager made us both a breakfast/lunch bag. This bag contained fruit and yogurt, which we ate there, and a wonderful sandwich that we ate at the viewpoint overlooking the upper Bohinj Valley. It was wonderful - so many thanks! The Hotel Jelka is literally in the woods, just 150 m down the road from the Pokljuka Hotel (formerly the Sport Hotel). Both hotels lie on the road that is the beginning of Stage 6. Pick the Jelka! It is wonderful. We just wished we could have stayed a couple of days.

A truly special stay at Alpine Homestead! Jasmina is an incredible hostess—warm, welcoming, and full of heart. Despite the cold and rainy weather, she made us feel completely at home. Her homecooked dinner, made with local ingredients and neighborly love, was absolutely delicious—especially the chicken soup, which was pure comfort in a bowl. Highly recommend for anyone looking for genuine hospitality and a peaceful mountain escape.

Everything was perfect. We found the keys in the key box, there also was champagne and chocolate for welcome. The kitchen was well equipped and had also tea, coffee, sugar, etc. We really appreciated the big living room, which is perfect for a big group, the fireplace (with firewood) and the sauna. The rooms were very clean and equipment modern. We had a very nice stay after a cold and rainy day.

Newly opened in April 2009 after extensive renovations, this 4-star hotel, first opened in 1906, is only 200 metres from Lake Bled and in the immediate vicinity of the train station.

Beautiful hotel with a breathtaking view, very nice big room and very nice breakfast. The indoor swimmingpool was great add but what stood up for me most was the kindness of the staff probably the nicest hotel staff I ever met especially the nice lady who came to the station and helped me with my luggage after I arrived big thank you and sorry I forgot your name. Will recommend the hotel to everyone I know it is the best place to relax.

Really affordable place on a great location close to few ski resorts. The staff was friendly, communication via email and self check in due to late arrival was smooth, and receptionist was really helpful with info on nearby locations.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Julian Alps. Everything is perfect: from breakfast, plenty of house made options and fresh products - to dinner, with a fixed course menu which was amazing and fairly priced. The rooms are comfortable, modern and cozy. We slept soundly. Staff is friendly, nice and well prepared to host guests in the best possible way. Location is wonderful, 5km from Bled, away from traffic and people and close to amazing experiences - we walked to the Vintgar Gorje directly from the Hotel and we went to climb Viševnik with a 20min trip by car. The hotel has also e-bikes for you and there are tons of cycling paths that you can do from the place. I would absolutely advice to book your stay here.
