Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. If I could give 100 stars to this ryokan, I would do it! It was absolutely stunning experience in Nagano, the whole family and staff are extremely friendly, kind and polite. They receive lots of international travelers and they understand tourists needs. You MUST book dinners and breakfasts with them! It was amazing experience! On a practical note: rooms were authentic, hot water, heater were reliable. Location is superb, close to the temple and delicious snacks. This place is ideal for alternative travelers interested in local tradition and with the appreciation for culture and history: I wish the owners only the best customers!

To Hakuba Third Place Lodge είναι στη Χακούμπα, σε Ναγκάνο και σε κοντινή απόσταση από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Θέρετρο Σκι Hakuba Goryu. We had an amazing time! The lodge is modern, super comfy, and Akira along with the whole team were fantastic. Even though we visited at the end of the season and were the only guests, they made sure we had everything we needed. Every morning, they prepared breakfast just for us, and we absolutely looooved every dish. The location was perfect for exploring the area. Can’t wait to come back!

The staff were kind and friendly and knowledgeable - it was incredibly welcoming and comfortable to stay there. The dinosaur decorations everywhere were the cherry on top of the atmosphere!
