Room was huge, clean and hotel was near the Nile river. Room service was fast and efficient. The hotel has several in-house restaurants that you could dine at. Staff were super friendly and even gave us a cake as we were on our honeymoon. Loved my stay in Sonesta and would highly recommend this place!!

Gorgeous grounds and pool area right on the Nile. We got a family room, which was actually two rooms for our kids and it was great for them to have extra space. It was expensive for all of us to stay, but relative to other hotels in Egypt it was great value. Breakfast was excellent. Great service by the pool. Happy hour was nice.

A perfect 10 out of 10! I was hesitant at first, wondering if the photos would match reality, and I’m glad to say my expectations were fully met. The hotel looks just like in the pictures. It feels as if time has stood still here since the early 20th century: antique interiors, books available for reading, grand high arches, and spacious halls – truly an oasis in the midst of bustling, crowded Egypt. The rooms are cleaned regularly, and all bathroom fixtures are spotless—almost as if they were just installed. There is no intrusive music, neither in the restaurants nor by the pool—this place is designed for escaping the hustle and bustle of the world and giving your mind a break from constant thoughts. It makes you want to lounge by the pool all day, reading books. The hotel grounds invite you to take peaceful walks through the inner garden and the herb garden, where various plants are grown. The staff is incredibly attentive and courteous. The attention to detail from the hotel's designer is truly impressive—it feels like every little thing has been carefully thought out. This hotel is worth every penny. I will definitely return. My wife was absolutely thrilled and insists that this hotel should become our go-to vacation spot!

Clean and comfortable and close to the shops, restaurants and temple. There’s a pharmacy next door which is really handy. Staff were welcoming and the manager/host was friendly and accommodating.

Great hotel on its own island but easily accessible by Careem or taxi. Staff was very friendly. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated. The hotel has a lot of available content, so you can relax or organize a sailing trip directly from the hotel. On our next visit to Luxor, we will definitely return to this hotel.
