The staff was really friendly and helpful with everything that we needed. They helped us organize a private transfer to and from the airport, get us a rental car delivered directly to the hotel. Helped with carrying the luggage to the transfer from the hotel. The breakfast was nice, not much to choose from but the extra dishses they can make on demand are great. If you're staying for 2-3 nights the food selection will be okay. The staff was also really accomodating providing us an early check-in since the room was already ready on the day of our arrival.

This was an amazing trip for us. Every single interaction we had with the staff and amenities were above and beyond.

At Altana, we experienced everything we had hoped for in Santorini. From our room, we could enjoy a breathtaking golden sunset, and just by going up to the shared pool area, we could watch a magnificent sunrise. Our private pool was perfect — I was initially worried from the photos that it might feel too enclosed, but in reality, it was semi-sheltered in the best way. It offered enough privacy while still feeling open, making it ideal to use even under the strong midday sun or in the cool evening breeze. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. As someone who loves traveling and has stayed in world-renowned resort destinations — Bali, Hawaii, the Amalfi Coast, the Maldives, and the Bahamas — I can honestly say that, both in terms of value and overall experience, Altana easily ranks among my top five stays. Choosing to stay in Imerovigli, rather than the busier Oia or central Fira, was also one of the best decisions we made. During our trip, we often walked between the hotel and the Fira bus station — about 20 to 30 minutes each way — and the stunning scenery along the route made every walk peaceful and memorable. (If you’re older or prefer convenience, I’d recommend taking the bus instead.) Thanks to the thoughtful assistance of the Altana staff, we had some of the best meals of our entire Greece trip — including Athens, Meteora, and Delphi — all just a short walk from the hotel. They also helped us adjust our itinerary perfectly to the local conditions, such as hiking time to Oia, visiting the Red & Black Beaches, and exploring Pyrgos. If my family or friends ever visit Santorini, I would wholeheartedly recommend Altana to them. And if I ever return to Santorini myself, there’s no doubt — I would choose Altana again.
