The hotel is perfectly clean, personal is very kind and helpful, among them, they speak many languages. The location is OK - the connection with the bus is not ideal and by foot it'd be quite long; but that's not a big deal. I've been in many hotels in the last few years, and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I've had! It's wonderful, delicious cheese options, eggs, bread; you can even order a fresh orange juice or the smoothie of the day, make your own pancakes, and coffee is delicious too. High recommended!

Just a 5-minute drive from Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport, Hotel Bologna Airport is also 500 metres from the Bologna Borgo Panigale exit of the A14 motorway.

Our stay at Royal Hotel Carlton was a standout experience and one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by how elegant and refined the interior was — it has a classy, timeless feel that far exceeded our expectations. The lobby and common areas are beautifully maintained, and everything about the space feels upscale and thoughtfully designed. Our room was incredibly spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable — much larger than typical European hotel rooms. It gave us plenty of room to relax after a day of exploring. The staff were consistently friendly, professional, and welcoming, which added to the overall positive experience. It’s worth noting that the hotel’s exterior is quite understated and doesn't immediately reflect the level of elegance and quality you find inside. But the moment you step through the doors, the atmosphere completely shifts. The interior is refined, elegant, and clearly maintained to a high standard, offering a much more elevated experience than the outside suggests. The location is also convenient — about a 15 to 20-minute walk to the historic city center, restaurants, and main landmarks. It’s far enough from the hustle to be quiet, but close enough to be easily walkable. We were truly impressed by our stay and would absolutely choose Royal Hotel Carlton again in the future. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, elegance, and a touch of luxury.

I stayed here with two friends, and it was a great experience. We rented a car and were happy to have secure parking provided by the hotel. They even locked it at night, but you could always ask for it to be opened whenever you needed to come or go, very convenient and safe. Check-in and check-out were done at the hotel next door, and the staff was always friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. The place was comfortable, with air conditioning and a TV, everything we needed for a relaxed stay. I would definitely recommend it for groups or anyone traveling with a car.

lovely position near the train station to Bologna. overall very nice stay. unfortunately couldn´t use all the SPA facilities to rest a bit because I had no time. will certainly do this next time!
