The onsen area was really nice and clean. The room was spacious enough and confortable. Hotel is located on a quiet street and very close to train station and attraction.

I totally loved the location of the hotel and how the staff was so nice and polite. The size of the room was great for two people and it was really comfortable. The bathroom was clean and everything worked well. We also loved that we could get some free coffee and tea when we arrived. It was snowing and cold outside so this really warmed our body and soul. Amazing stay after hours in a train to get there ❤ Would love to be back ❤

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how close this hotel to the train station. Super easy to get to, we had no problems in the hotel, everything was nice, so I would definitely recommend this hotel to stay in Takayama.

The onsen was beautiful as the location near the the mountains was fantastic. It was not a new and shiny place but felt like a wonderful way to experience a traditional Japanese resort with access to spectacular walking in the alps.

Featuring beautiful sceneries of the woods, Ryu Resort and Spa is located in the tranquil Shokawa Highland area, a 50-minute drive or free shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station (reservation needed).
