We had an excellent stay at Asha Boutique Hotel. The location directly on Diani Beach is unbeatable, and the attached restaurant is truly the highlight. Having dinner at tables placed right in the sand with a full view of the ocean creates an atmosphere that is hard to top. The staff were exceptionally friendly and incredibly helpful, even before we arrived. We had booked a safari lodge in Tsavo afterwards and didn’t know how to get there. The hotel arranged a reliable driver who took us there safely and later brought us back to Diani. Without the team at Asha we would have had to organise everything on our own once in Kenya, but thanks to them everything was arranged in advance and worked perfectly. That level of support made a huge difference. Our room was clean, well-kept and comfortably sized. Housekeeping comes twice a day and handles everything very discreetly. In the morning the windows are opened with mosquito protection in place, and in the evening everything is closed again and the air-conditioning is turned on. It’s environmentally friendly and makes the room very comfortable at night. The pool area is pleasant, massages are available, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is calm and relaxing. We truly would have loved to stay longer.

We just came back from Mzima Beach, where we stayed for 9 days, and honestly, it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The place itself is beautiful, but what really made it special were the people. Everyone was so kind and truly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and happy. Room service was just perfect — always on time, incredibly attentive, and everything was spotlessly clean. You could tell how much care and pride they put into every little detail. Coming back to a beautifully made room every day felt so comforting. Charles, the manager, was absolutely fantastic — always smiling, full of life, and spreading so much positive energy around. He really made the whole experience shine. My husband also had a deep tissue massage from Emely, and she was absolutely amazing. She really knows what she’s doing — professional, caring, and so skilled. He felt completely relaxed and renewed afterward. Mzima Beach isn’t just a beautiful place to stay — it’s a place filled with heart. The people there make all the difference. We left with so much gratitude and so many happy memories.

The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel at home right away. I had forgotten to put in my booking that we had our 1 year old daughter with us and the staff were not fazed at all. We arrived very late but they had thought ahead to ask the driver who collected us from Mombasa to take our order for dinner so there was food for us when we arrived even though the kitchen had closed. The hotel is really beautiful and has an amazing view of the sea. The way the sunbeds and pool is laid out it feels like you are on the beach without actually being on the beach. If you wish to get in the sea it is just down some steps. The staff helped us with all encounters with the hawkers on the beach. It is definitely the most beautiful of the resorts in the area that we saw online and in real life when we explored the area. It looks exactly like the pictures which I have found is not always the case with hotels on booking.com. The food was really good and was much better than what we had been eating on safari and in Nairobi. The highlights were the prawns and tuna. We would have enjoyed a little more variety and African influenced food on the menu but there were daily specials which hit the spot. The staff did seem a little hurt when we had dinner out one night (there's a really good Korean restaurant just at the end of the driveway to the hotel). As the hotel is so small it is understandable that they would want you to eat/spend money with them rather than elsewhere.

beautiful hotel, I loved the pools. Saw lots of wildlife including bats and monkeys. The food was great especially the Zanzibar restaurant. Close to the beach and the seaweed was cleaned daily. Spa was great!
