This is truly a 5 star hotel. You are treated with 5 star service from all staff from the minute you walk in to the minute you leave. The price for this was so affordable compared to other places in Sri Lanka

My husband and I spent four amazing nights at Celestial Hills in Kandy for our honeymoon, and I can honestly say it was the most magical place we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into a hidden paradise. We stayed in one of their beautiful villas, and the staff made sure we felt like royalty the entire time. Every night, they decorated our room in a different, special way, knowing we were there for our honeymoon. On Diwali, they truly went above and beyond—lighting candles, creating a stunning Ganesha on our bed with flowers, and leaving a mixture of Indian and Sri Lankan sweets for us. This thoughtful touch meant so much, especially as it was our first Diwali away from home. The villa itself was stunning—spacious with incredible views of the valley and sunrise. Every morning, we woke up to a breathtaking view, watching the sky change from purple to orange. It was like something out of a nature documentary, only better because we were there to experience it firsthand. Our private pool and large balcony made it even more special—we had breakfast there most mornings, taking in the serene atmosphere. Leaving each day for sightseeing felt like we were leaving heaven, but returning in the evening always felt like coming back to it. The service at Celestial Hills is by far the best I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve traveled quite a bit. From the moment we arrived, Andrew, the resident manager, welcomed us with pineapple achar and tea. Throughout our stay, he stayed in contact via WhatsApp, making sure we had everything we needed. No matter what we asked for, it was brought to us within minutes. Andrew truly went out of his way to make our stay perfect. Everyone we met was so warm and welcoming, it didn’t even feel like we were at a hotel—it felt like we were staying with family. The chefs, in particular, were incredible.

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in recently. We were warmly welcomed with a traditional drum & song routine performed by the wonderful staff. The room was so comfortable, had everything we needed and a full mini bar included in the rate. The hotel facilities were great and absolutely spotless. The food was exceptional and the service outstanding. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends & family.

This hotel is high up in the hills with its own tea plantations, infinity pool with uninterrupted view overlooking the landscape and fantastic friendly and informed staff. Highly recommended the morning hike with botanist Isuru through the hills where he will explain more about all the different plants and herbs growing in the hills.

Position, room, view, staff and service

Mahesh and his family were wonderful. I think I had the best cup of tea I have ever had. The room was comfy and clean. We loved our stay, we could not recommend it more.

The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were good although the dinner menu was limited. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel grounds (with pool) were beautiful, and the distant views were very scenic. We noticed couples coming to this location to have wedding photos taken due to the attractiveness of the grounds.

An incredibly well made complex, the Mountain View rooms are amazing and right next to the main dining area. The buildings are modern brutalist build and is impressively designed to combine with the nature that surrounds it. Food is of superb quality and all staff are extremely professional but still really friendly and approachable, this extends to every single member of staff, regardless of their roles.

The hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The pool was lovely. Manjula, the owner, was the highlight of our stay! His warmth, humor, and local tips made our time in Kandy so enjoyable. He is now a friend for life! All other staff were incredibly accommodating too. A perfect stay—definitely a 10/10!
