Best of all, the sauna provided an excellent way of unwinding after a long day of biking to the apartment. I recommend anyone looking to stay in Melk stay in Alstadt apartments, especially those biking in on two wheels.

This family-run 4-star hotel lies hidden between the vineyards of the Wachau, about 900 metres west of the historic town of Dürnstein. The hotel is located on the Danube shore, with a spectacular view over surrounding hills and Danube from upper rooms, close to city, yet in a very quiet location. The room is spacios and very clean, the restaurant is offering quality food , breakfast is very good. Parking place at the hotel ground level is a plus. And the night sky view is magnificent (due to outside town hotel location)
