Our three-day stay at this place was fantastic. Steven and Frank helped us with everything we needed. They helped us get tickets for the city's attractions, and they sent a car to pick us up at the train station. The human quality, beyond the accommodation, is something that should be highlighted. On the other hand, the hotel is very nice, with decent rooms—spacious and very functional for a city stay. It's about 15-20 minutes from one of the park's entrances, which, if you get the right ticket, makes it much easier to access on foot. I would definitely stay here again. Not my first time in Changsha and this Hotel. If you want to stay in the most comfort place in Changsha - just choose this hotel! Great location, excellent staff (they will help to solve any problem and help you with any request (my best and warm regards to Mr. Jack Ma!!!)), wonderful rooms and, of course, very tasty breakfast with great view! First of all the location is great, it's right besides the entrance to the national park and theres street food 20 meters away. The room itself was definitely worth the price, really clean and fancy interior. Scott, the manager there, speaks great english and helped us a lot with booking and organizing our tour in the park. He drew us two routes and explained a lot about the park. He also offered to do our bookings for the tours in the area after we left the hotel (at normal entrance costs, no fees). The food in the buffet was also great.

Very impressed! Free airport transfer was punctual, and the free laundry service is a smart touch. Breakfast has both local and Western options. Special thanks to Lisa for arranging our itinerary smoothly. No hassle at all. Highly recommended for Singaporean travellers!

Hotel location is superb, just beside the MRT station — so easy to get around! Breakfast buffet was solid, and the staff were really friendly. Gave us a high-floor room upgrade somemore. Very impressed, will stay again!

Very satisfied with my stay at Avatar Valley Grand Hotel! The location is superb—within easy reach of both Zhangjiajie’s UNESCO sites, which saved us a lot of travel time. The room was spacious, clean, and the balcony offered stunning mountain views; waking up here felt like sleeping inside a painting. What stood out was the exceptional service. The staff contacted us in advance to arrange airport pickup and helped plan our itinerary, including booking tickets—everything was hassle-free. Special shout-out to Wendy​ for her professionalism and warm assistance throughout our trip! Breakfast had a good variety of Western and local options, perfect for international guests. The hotel’s quiet environment made it a relaxing retreat after busy days of exploring. For Singaporeans visiting Zhangjiajie, this hotel is a top choice—efficient, well-organized, and truly worth the value. Will definitely return!

Absolutely brilliant stay! The FengHuang Kasen Waterloom Keep's grounds are lovely and breakfast was fantastic. The real standout was their service: arranged a hotel car to collect us from the station and provided dedicated transfers to the local sights. Staff called right after booking to organise our travel and even helped plan our itinerary - extremely professional and helpful. Proper job, highly recommend!

Excellent staff, food and beautiful property

This is an exceptional property, their staff is top class and the only complaint I have is that they are not rated higher. They went above and beyond in their service and more than once their staff (mufeng) gave us advise about our itinerary that saved us a lot of time and money. The property is very well maintained and managed. Has a full fledged gym and washer dryer available for guests to use. Not only you don’t pay hefty hotel laundry charges but the butlers actually help to pick up and deliver your laundry back at room for no charge. Hotel Area is huge, rooms are good sized, with luxurious amenities, Pool is great - cool and clean - my family used it and didn’t mind that it was outdoors. There is a lively environment around the pool as guests sit out late evening chatting and enjoying, it’s good to soak in. Location is perfect - It is very close to national forest park, Grand Canyon, lake Baofeng and yellow dragon caves. Certainly helped save upto an hour in driving. Another thing of note is their spa - exceptional service and quality of massage. It is more pricey than the shops outside but you get what you pay for with outside by road spas. If you want a truly memorable relaxing spa experience this is the one. I had an ear cleaning, a body massage and a foot massage! Breakfast is good, first time I’ve seen pricing based on height / age - very unique. We had lunch and dinner just outside the hotel there are great local cuisine restaurants. They had a check in gift for kids which my son loved getting. I can’t fault the property specially after the experience I had at another property in same town! They helped me out with translation and support when I needed it most! Pls don’t get fooled by some other 9.9 rated properties in the area, read your reviews carefully and go with brand name properties. I chose Hilton and honestly felt I was at a world class property living up to the Hilton brand name!
